But it’s over too soon, and we pull apart, gasping for air.

“Are you sure you haven’t kissed anyone before?” She breathlessly asks, her eyes searching my face.

“I’m a terrible fucking kisser, aren’t I?” I let go off her waist, taking a hesitant step backward.

Of course I am, I've never kissed anyone else before, therefore, I don't have any experience…which means I'm a terrible fucking kisser.

“No,” she shakes her head giggling. “I was expecting more washing machine, but that…seriously, you’ve never kissed anyone but me before?”

“You’re the only one.” I confirm.

“Wow,” she blows out a breath, her cheeks puffing out. “Had I not known that, I totally wouldn’t have even thought it.”

“I’m that much of a good kisser then, huh?” I grin.

Okay, reel it in Greyson.

“Nah, I lied,” she’s trying not to smile, but I cansee the corner of her lips tilting up. “You’re a terrible kisser.”

“Is that so?” I muse, lifting my hand to move a strand of hair away from her face.

“Hmm.” She licks her lips, and my eyes trail the movement.

“Well,” I whisper, closing the distance between us. “Tell me how this is for a kiss.” I connect our lips together once again.

And I decided in that moment that Lilly Jackson is going to ruin me, and I’m completely okay with that.

Chapter 18

Lilly

Days following the Halloween party, I'm sitting in the stands watching the guys at practice, shivering as the coldness of the rink seeps through my skin.

“I told you to bring a coat with you.” Nina gives me a pointed look as she snuggles further into her own coat.

Adjusting the thick lilac cardigan I'm wearing, I glare at her before turning my attention back to the ice. Nina decided to join me at practice today, mainly so she could drool at Hunter as he skated by.

Lakelyn emailed Professor Davenport this morning informing her that she wouldn’t be in class and wouldn’t make it for the interview we’re meant to be doing with Felix, one of the sophomores because she’s got a huge migraine—said migraine being a hangover. But I was happy she wasn't here, it meant she wouldn't be asking stupid questions and the interview would be done way sooner than usual.

Glancing to my left, Nina’s perched on the edge of her seat, her eyes are heart shaped as she watches Hunter glide across the ice.Grinning to myself, I lift my hand and wipe the imaginary drool from the corner of her mouth.

“You’ve got a little drool there.” I smirk when she looks at me confused.

She swats my hand away, her cheeks reddening. “And that’s my queue to go.” She stands, adjusting her coat.

“No, don’t go!” I dramatically grab her hand, pulling her back.

“You’re so annoying.” She laughs, tucking a strand of her brunette hair behind her ear.

“But you love me.” I grin.

“I do,” she confirms. “But I’ve gotta get to my lecture.”

“Skip,” I suggest, pouting at her. “I’m sure your boyfriend would love you to watch him practice.”

Her cheeks redden more. “Not my boyfriend.”

“But he’s on track to be.” I wiggle my eyebrows.
