Romilly pulled his finger back. Archer's eyes shot open. "What are you doing?" he panted.
"I can tell that it is not as pleasant for you as it should be, so we are going to stop and get cleaned up."
Archer's mouth dropped open. He didn't say anything, nor did he move. Romilly understood. He needed to lay it all out for Archer. There was no better time than the present.
With his clean hand, he gripped his mate's chin and made sure Archer was facing him. "First of all, little one, I want to apologize to you. This night did not go how it should have. I was meant to take care of you. Meant to explain the mate bond without pressuring you for anything more. You deserved to just be told, but my dragon was ravenous, as you could tell. Your reaction, your lack of panic, made him more forward than he should have been. I want you to know that I am aware of his lack of control and power, and I will do my damnedest to never let that happen again."
Archer frowned, pulling his chin away from where Romilly had gripped it. "Are you saying you didn't want to sleep with me last night? That your dragon forced you?"
His mate’s tone was sad, almost heartbroken. Romilly didn't need anyone around to tell him that there were red flags and alarms blaring. "That is not at all what I meant. I was simply trying to say that you might have felt coerced, like you had to do something, and you did not. I wanted you. I want you now. But I do not want you to feel like you have to do anything."
Romilly waited. Archer nodded slowly like he was trying to fully understand what Romilly was saying.
"So you wanted me, and your dragon wanted me, but you were trying to keep things slower because I'm human and could have been nervous? And you feel bad now… Is that what's happening?"
Romilly smiled, giving a sheepish nod. "Basically, yes. I do not want you to think that I am going to force myself on you anytime I want or that you do not have the ability to tell me no. You mean everything to me. Above all else, your comfort is required."
Archer blushed and ducked his head onto Romilly's chest. He pressed a kiss there, and it was so tender, so sweet that Romilly teared up. The moment was perfect, the pair simply enjoying each other as they laid in bed.
After a few more quiet moments, Romilly asked Archer, "What would you like to do today, little one? I have cleared my schedule for the morning and possibly the rest of the day. I want to do what makes you happy."
Archer looked bewildered for a moment before settling. "I know what I want, but I don't know if it's possible," he said quickly.
Romilly released his boy and adjusted himself so that he was seated upright against the headboard of the bed. He pulled Archer up into his arms and across his lap. Their naked bodies aligned so perfectly, and it felt good to have his mate in his hold again. He'd let him go if Archer wanted it, but the way his boy sighed and sunk into him made Romilly believe it was fine. Made Romilly believe things were okay as they were.
"There is no request too big or too small, little one. I am here and I am prepared to give you what you want, what you need. Only ask and it is yours."
Archer tucked his head under Romilly's chin and trailed his hands over Romilly's broad chest. "I really like the idea of spending the day with you, with us getting to know each other more and talking about this relationship. I want—" Archer paused. "I want a full day of you being my Daddy to know what that's like and to understand what you need from me.”
Romilly kissed the top of his boy's head. "A Daddy day, huh? Sounds perfect to me. There is nothing more I would want. We can also get your things moved in here from the guest room. No reason for you to keep things there when I want you in my bed every night.”
Romilly was about to further explain his feelings when his bedroom door burst open. He scowled, wrapping the blanket they had across their laps around Archer's entire body, covering his skin from anyone who might see.
Archer giggled, amused to be cocooned in with his mate. That was when it hit Romilly who had dared enter his space. Eden stood at the edge of their bed, jaw slack, eyes wide, nostrils spread as he took in the mixed scent of the pair.
"Well, no wonder we couldn't find either of you. Been in here getting freaky."
"If you could refrain from your whatever this is, I'd appreciate it," Romilly said, voice droll.
"Honestly, do you think I could come in here, catch you two in bed together and not say something snarky? It's in my nature, in my blood. Who I am." Eden cocked his hip to the side, making Archer giggle, and Romilly rolled his eyes.
Siblings, they were always up to something. Well, Hadrian and Eden were. Soren got up to their own thing. It was just the Fae that were a problem there.
"To what do I owe the frustration of this visit?"
"I was looking for both of you," Eden said, and he rocked side to side, letting his arms swing. "Yeah, I was going to ask if Archerwanted to play with me, but it seems he's busy, and you're not at work, so that means you took off.So boring."
"Where's Hadrian?" Archer asked from his cocoon. He was trying to pull the blanket down, but Romilly refused to let his brother see any more of his mate than he already had.
"He's off doing something with Dad. They wouldn't take me, and they wouldn't tell me, so it's either go spend time with Mom, which is fine, you know, the whole clay thing. But I really just want to be Little for a bit."
"You know, if you had a Daddy, this would not be an issue," Romilly pointed out.
"You're a Little too?" Archer asked, having never put the pieces together.
Eden's eyes lit up, and he stepped closer to the bed. Romilly put a hand up. "You two can discuss that later when everyone is clothed, please and thank you."
Eden giggled, and Archer turned red, his cheeks glowing as he ducked under the blanket, hiding himself completely.
