He wrapped his arms around the alpha’s neck, let his head fall back when Winston broke their kiss and instead trailed down his neck, pressing butterfly kisses to the hollow of his throat before nipping at his clavicles. The alpha’s hands were roving, the hem of Rupert’s skirt already rucked up over his hips, Winston’s hands slipping underneath, sliding up the omega’s sides.
Rupert pushed him back gently, trying to get his breath, to slow his dizzy thoughts. It felt wonderful to be wanted. “You still haven’t told me what you plan to do.”
“Mm,” Winston drawled, his lids at half-mast as he considered Rupert. “I wasn’t joking when I said you were making it hard to think. I would like to do many things to you, if you’ll let me.”
“That’s vague. How can I possibly agree to that?”
“Mm—all right. First, I thought I might undress you.”
“Do I get to undress you?”
The alpha considered. “No,” he said finally, and Rupert was about to protest when he said, “I’m going to lay you out on the table and taste you again.”
Rupert rather liked the sound of that; it took a fair amount of restraint not to grind against the alpha. “And?”
“Then …” Winston’s breath was a rush of warmth against his ear, sending shivers down his spine, and Rupert wasn’t sure he’d ever been so turned on. “When you’ve come—maybe once, maybe twice—then I will get undressed while you watch. You’ll touch yourself all the while. And then, permission pending, I will fuck you.”
“Iknewyou were meticulous,” Rupert said, aiming for snarky and likely missing by a mile; he was too wound up to sound anything but enthusiastic.
“Then you approve of the plan?”
“I think you’ve made a very good case—I trust you to make it happen.”
“Then we can begin?”
“I was starting to think you’d never ask.” Rupert almost laughed, mostly at himself. He was struck by sudden shyness; he didn’t know how to start. He felt almost silly as he stood and headed toward the corner of the kitchen that housed a dining set—dark wood, clearly antique, like everything else—which was almost swallowed up by a veritable jungle of houseplants, all reaching for the windows. Rupert tugged at the straps on his dress, letting them slide over his shoulders. He perched gingerly on the table, feeling more shy, more nervous with every passing second.
Maybe he should have gone home. Being alone would have been much easier than having Winston watching him from across the room.
“I thought you said you were going to undress me,” Rupert said finally, averting his own gaze.
“You seemed to be doing fine on your own.” The alpha drew closer to the table, before finally planting his hands on it. He leaned over Rupert, and the omega scooted back a bit, tilting his head to look up at the alpha. “Would you like me to assist you?”
Rupert didn’t trust himself to speak; he might have told the alpha no, tried to call this whole thing off. Instead, he nodded. Slowly, he let his back make contact with the table, laying himself out for the alpha.
Winston tugged at the dress, sliding it down Rupert’s torso. “Relax,” the alpha whispered in his ear when he leaned forward. He patted Rupert’s hip, and the blond lifted up, just enough to get the dress free. “What are you nervous about?”
Everything. Nothing. He took a shuddery breath. What was he supposed to say?
A hand slid up his bare thigh. Winston followed him when he turned his head. “Are you shy? You didn’t seem so last night.”
Rupert’s cheeks burned. “I … I haven’t been with anyone since …”
“Hm?” Winston had his brows lifted when Rupert looked at him. “Since the divorce?”
“Since I got sick.” Rupert paused, knowing that was something of a lie. Thomas had … “I—”
“Oh,” the alpha said softly. Then, “Well, it seems like everything is in working order.” His fingers slid between Rupert’s thighs.
“Yes, well.” He turned his head again. Now wasn’t the time or place to bring up what was missing or that noteverythingworked like it was supposed to. It wasn’t like it mattered for this.
Winston had paused again, watching him carefully. Rupert dared a glance at the alpha, then looked away again. “I’m just a bit … It’s not like you undressed me last night.”
The alpha’s short snort of laughter was startling; he smiled gently when Rupert looked at him. “Are you feeling self-conscious?”
“Oh, not at all—I regularly get naked in front of alphas I barely know on their kitchen tables.”
Another snort of laughter; Winston cupped his cheek, drawing his gaze back. “You ought not to worry—alphas are rarely as picky as omegas, hm?”
