“Don’t piss them off,” I say with a shrug.

“It won’t be that easy. I’m bound to fuck up at some point,” Knuckles says.

Tank walks over to Serena, and she says something to him before turning her head away like she’s done talking to him.

I wonder what that’s about.

I’m sure Ana will get it out of her and tell us later.

Fuck, Tank might be the first to experience the Old Lady’s anger.

Chapter Nineteen

Ana

Three months later…

I only have eight weeks left of this pregnancy, and I’m going crazy. I’m huge; bigger than I ever could imagine, and I know I will just get bigger from here.

Carrying twins is no joke.

I was having pains and some bleeding, so I was put on bedrest.

I’m bored out of my mind. Having two men who are super protective of you is not fun. They won’t let me do anything and are driving me nuts.

They barely let me go to the washroom by myself. One is always standing outside the door.

If they need to go to the club for Church, they have a prospect here to watch me.

I find that I’m never fully alone and, sometimes, I miss the peace.

It sucks that I completely get it. They still can’t find the guy who ran Levi off the road. They had found the truck abandoned though.

Everyone has been on high alert for the last few months.

They don’t tell me much since they don’t want to stress me out, but I know enough to know that we all could be in danger.

Being part of the club for years, I know enough to not take that lightly; even if that means that I have to be bored out of my mind.

Thankfully, my men are almost home today. Luke, the prospect they have watching over me today, isn’t very chatty. I’ve asked him so many questions and have only received one-word answers in return.

Maverick and Levi needed to go do something and said we are having a date night in tonight. I like that they try to do sweet things for me.

The date is going to be a picnic style meal on the bed with everything I have ever craved, and we will talk and laugh together. Sometimes, we can talk for hours before I end up falling asleep on them.

I hear the door open and sigh in relief. “Button, we’re home,” I hear Maverick shout.

They walk to the bedroom door with bags of takeout, and a mystery box.

“Thanks Prospect, you can head back to the club now. We are in for the night,” Levi says.

The Prospect nods his head and starts to leave the room.

“It was so good talking to you today. Next time, try not to talk so much. I couldn’t get a word in,” I shout. I see from the side of his face that he has a small smile while he shakes his head.

“He talked?” Maverick asks in surprise.

I laugh. “One word answers the whole time. I’ll get him to open up one day.”
