Was the top of his head still attached? Because he swore it blew it right off.

Vi ignored his outburst. “I’m currently working on pinging their cell phones to get their location once they’re back in tower range. As soon as I have that, I’ll pass it on. How do you want to handle this?”

She sounded way too fucking calm for this situation. But then again, the last time the ladies went missing they were pampering themselves at a fucking spa.

Only this time, they’d been tailing some Souls. “Think those motherfuckers got ‘em?” His blood pressure was now spiking and his vision was getting that red haze, and he was doing his best not to grind his teeth down to the roots.

Did they go to that goddamn male stripper shit despite him telling Lyric no?

“I don’t know. I mean, it sounded like they were in Bri’s car, so unlike when they were on the club run, there’d be no way to tie them to the DAMC.”

Unless they ran their fucking mouths. With Avery in the car, that was a real threat. “That we fuckin’ know of. God-fuckin-damnit!”

“I’ll keep trying to ping their phones. In the meantime?—”

“Keep tryin’. Lemme know the second you get a location.Gonna head over to the apartment to check to make sure they ain’t there. They ain’t, gonna let you know.”

“Do you want Reaper to meet you at the clubhouse?”

“Yeah, send T-Bone, Grim, and Ghost, too.”

“I’ll send whoever I can find. Hell, they might already be there or they could be back home on the farm.”

“Don’t waste any fuckin’ time waitin’ for me to check the apartment, just send whoever you got.”

“You got it, cuz.” She hung up.

As he rushed back into the strip club, he tried calling Lyric. It went right to voicemail.

He called Avery, same thing. He tried Bri next. Voicemail.

For fuck’s sake!

He needed to grab his sled from out back, but on his way, Rage yelled out to Rooster to tell him that he had to go and the assistant manager needed to take over for the rest of the night.

He didn’t even wait for Rooster’s response, he just kept moving. If the Souls had the women, he had no fucking time to waste.

He slammed the back door’s crash bar with both hands and once again headed out into the night.

With the wayhe was cranking on the throttle, Rage made it to the pawn shop in record time.

Lyric’s cage wasn’t the only one parked at the bottom of the stairs leading up to their apartment. Avery’s cage was parked where it normally was when she worked at the pawn shop. However, Bri’s cage was gone, so Vi had been right about whose vehicle they’d taken.

He jogged up the steps, pounded on the door, then tried to open it.

Locked.

He immediately turned, trotted back down the metal staircase, and spotted Nix walking toward his sled parked next to Avery’s ride in one of the pawn shop’s employee spots.

“Know where your sister is?”

“Nope.”

“How ‘bout Avery?”

A frown creased his brow. “Why the fuck would I know where Avery is?”

“‘Cause you work together.” Like that had to be said? “Where’s Bri?”
