Jake's grip relaxed slightly.

"Great. And where do you spend most of your time?"

"In my room."

Jake dug into me again.

"Why?" Agent Bellane looked curious.

"It's my happy place. I paint and read there and the breeze from the garden is nice."

"How often do you have intercourse with your alphas and beta?"

I froze. I hadn't been with them in months. My gaze dropped to my lap.

"She's a little hesitant to talk about our sex life," Jake laughed. "You have to understand that we have a new omega addition, so things are still settling down, but I'd say we're intimate at least three or four times a week with each of them."

I could feel the agent's eyes on me, so I forced myself to smile and nod. "That's about right."

"Great, well, it looks like there are no concerns here. I'll be sure to file the paperwork and we shouldn't need to do any followup." Agent Bellane stood up.

The agents shook our hands and left, then Jake pulled me back to the living room.

"What was that?" he demanded. "Did you contact them?"

"Me? No." I shook my head.

"Give me your tablet."

"No, Jake, come on. I didn't do this. Don't take the tablet."

"You don't need it. Go get it."

Finally, I went to bring him the tablet, tears spilling from my eyes. "This is how I read books, please, Jake."

He snatched it from my hands and tossed it to Daryl.

"We could just disable the internet for her," he suggested.

"No. No more tablets," Jake said firmly.

And just like that, most of my entertainment was removed.

I sat silently on the sofa, ignoring the tears that trickled down my face and dripped off my chin. Of everything they'd done to me, this was what broke me.

"Yeah, she's been looking at their social media, the guys next door. Probably talked to them all the time," Daryl muttered.

"I never did. I didn't even like their photos."

"We can't guarantee that and you've already shown an interest in them." Jake sighed.

There was no point in trying to reason with them. I sat quietly while they ranted and came up with absurd things that I might have done. In the end, I was guilty if they thought I was. There was no defense against their opinions when they refused to listen.

After making dinner, I returned to my room without eating. I still had my paints, but for how long? Without the tablet, I'd have to ask for someone else to order the supplies for me. Somehow, I didn't think that would happen.
