"Fuck, Ethan," he growled, his voice rough with pleasure."You feel sofuckinggood."

His hand wrapped around my cock, stroking in time with his thrusts. The dual sensation was too much, pleasure building at the base of my spine until I couldn't hold back anymore.

"Calder, I'm?—"

"Cum for me, mate."

It only took a few strokes before I did, spilling over his hand and my stomach with a cry that probably echoed through the entire cabin. My body clenched around him, and he followed seconds later, burying himself deep as he came inside me with a roar that sounded more wolf than man.Heat filled my belly as he throbbed inside me.I pulled him tight against me, wanting every last drop.

We collapsed together, both breathing hard, our bodies slick with sweat.Calder pressed lazy kisses to my shoulder, my neck, anywhere he could reach without moving too much.

"Think the neighbors heard that?"I asked when I could finally form words.

He laughed, the sound rumbling through his chest."What neighbors? We're in the middle of nowhere."

"Good point."I couldn’t help a smile.“Perks of a cabin in the middle of the woods I guess.”

We lay there for a few more minutes, content and sated, until reality started creeping back in.I glanced at the clock on the nightstand and groaned.

"We have forty-five minutes to shower and get to the restaurant."

Calder lifted his head, looking entirely too pleased with himself."Better hurry then."

"This is your fault," I muttered, even as I couldn't stop the smile spreading across my face.

"Worth it."He leaned down to kiss me.“If I could be inside you all the time, I would. You have thebestass.”

“Well now you’re just trying to butter me up.”

“Was it enough to get a round two?”He waggled his eyebrows at me.“A quick one?”

“There’s no such thing as a quick round two with you,” I laughed.“So unless you want to call my mom and cancel, we should get going.”

A look of fear crossed his face.“Nope.We should definitely get ready.”

We scrambled to get around, sharing a quick shower that almost turned into round two by accident before I reminded him that showing up late and disheveled to dinner with my mother was not an option.By the time we were dressed and heading out the door, we had exactly ten minutes to spare.

Calder drove while I tried to make my still-wet hair look presentable in the visor mirror. It was a losing battle, but at least I didn't look completely wrecked.

"Your mom's not gonna know," Calder said, glancing over at me with amusement.

"She is very observant,” I argued.“And she doesn't need to know the details of our sex life."

"Your hair is fine, baby.”He reached over, pulling me into another kiss.“But you do have that freshly fucked glow."

I punched his arm lightly, but I was smiling.Because he was right—I probably did.And honestly?I didn't care. For the first time in years, I was happy.Truly, deeply happy. The weight of my father's death would always be with me, but it no longer defined me.I had a future now, one with Calder by my side.

We pulled into the restaurant parking lot with two minutes to spare. My mom was already waiting by the entrance, and when she saw us, her entire face lit up.She pulled me into a tight hug, then surprised me by hugging Calder too.

"I'm so glad you boys could make it," she said, her eyes a little misty already.

"Wouldn't miss it," I replied, squeezing her hand.

“How did the trip to the woods go?”she asked, wiping her eyes before tears could fall.

“Good,” I nodded.“Really good.”

She hugged me again.“I’m glad.”Then she pulled back, sniffing and shaking her head.“Sorry.It’s the dry air,” she lied.“You boys must be hungry.Let’s get inside before we freeze our butts off.”
