She laughs as we order drinks and appetizers.

“You’re such a liar. If he came over here, you can’t tell me that you wouldn’t talk to him.”

“You realize we’re leaving in two days, right?”

“I’m not telling you he’s your forever. But we’re on vacation. You should have fun.”

“And what about you?”

“Well, he’s not alone.”

I look and finally see that he’s with a group of six guys. Well shit. I didn’t even notice them.

“Fine. Yes, if he were to come over here? I’d talk to him. But he won’t, so shush and eat your food.” I laugh.

“These drinks are from the table over there.” Our waitress tilts her head and smiles as she places the drinks on our table.

Daphne and I turn to see the table with the gorgeous man. They all raise their glasses to us.

“Please tell them thank you,” I say to her as we raise our glasses back at them.

After we’re done with our dinner, one of the guys from the table comes over.

“Hi, my name is Conley. I hope this is okay, but my friends and I wanted to invite you both to come out with us. We were going to the bar just down the road.”

Daphne and I look at each other. As much as I want to say yes, we don’t know them. What if they kidnap us?

“I can see you’re hesitant. It’s okay, we just wanted to ask.” He smiles at us. “I hope you both have a great night.”

Daphne looks at me. “Let’s make a deal. If either of us feel like anything’s weird, we leave.”

I nod. “Deal.”

We ask the waitress for our bill and she says that it’s already been taken care of. I ask her by who and she points out the man I can’t stop staring at.

“Thank you,” we both say to her.

We head over to their table and ask if the invitation is still open. They all stand up and we follow them outside.

“My name’s Fionn,” he says as he steps up next to me and takes my hand.

I look up at him, he’s even more gorgeous up close.

“I’m Riley.”

“I’m glad you and your friend decided to join us.” He smiles at me.

“We’re celebrating our boy here,” one of the guys at the table says as he slaps Fionn on the back.

“He’s chosen to leave us. We’re trying to show him he’s making a mistake.” Conley laughs.

Fionn laughs as we all walk to the bar. He hasn’t let go of my hand, and I can’t say I’m mad about it. He also keeps smiling down at me. Maybe I’m not ready to give up on finding someone just yet.

“What do you all do?” Daphne asks.

“We’re all garda síochána. I think in America, you’d call us police officers,” Conley answers her.

“Oh wow. That’s awesome.” She smiles at him.
