He freezes by the side of the bed, a tube of cream in his hand, and his gaze narrows on me.

“I was planning on taking care of this ass, but I’ll gladly spank it again if that’s what you need.”

“I don’t think I’m being unreasonable by saying that.”

“What’s unreasonable is you ever thinking I’d do that. I would never use anything on you I’ve used with another woman. It would be impossible anyway, I’ve never taken care of a woman before, never felt the urge to before you.”

Well, shit.He really needs to stop doing things that make me want to fall for him.

“What is it anyway?”

“Arnica. I bought it the other day; had a feeling I’d need it with you.” I can’t help but laugh at his words. He wasn’t wrong.

His hands smooth the cream over my skin, his touch gentle and soothing. I didn’t realize how much I needed this comfort after what we’d done but it’s the gentle comedown that I craved without even realizing.

“Into bed, sweet pea.” He pulls the covers back and we both climb in, his arms cradling my body and my head resting on his chest. “I’ve been craving this ever since that first night.”

“What, spanking me?”

“No, holding you in my arms while we sleep.”

My heart skips a beat in my chest, and I worry that falling for him is going to be unavoidable.

My cell phone vibrates from where it’s resting on the desk.

Grayson: You found out if she’s worth it or not yet?

I glance up and catch the eyes of the woman I spent most of the night and morning inside of. The woman I can’t get enough of.

Grayson: So you caved, too?

Hudson: Like a deck of cards

Grayson: I look forward to meeting her

I make an instant decision; one my little spitfire is probably going to fight me on.

We’re going to London. In two weeks’ time.

With excitement running through me at the thought of spending Memorial Day weekend with her, I continue the lecture with more enthusiasm than I’ve shown before.
