"Three weeks."

"Three days," Rhone argued.

"Two weeks. That's the lowest I'll go. You'll make it back in time for the real fun of breeding season."

"Fine," Rhone gritted out.

"Great. I'll find you a cabin, and you can drop your stuff before you get started."

"Thank you," I said.

"Sure. Nice shirt, by the way. It's a tempting invitation during breeding season. Especially when you barely smell like the man who's claiming you're his."

I glanced down at my shirt as Rhone swore under his breath.

Bite me.

Oof.

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

harper

I stared into the cabin, standing at the front door.

"We should've specified that we needed two beds," I finally said.

"We don't need two beds." Rhone maneuvered me inside and slammed the door behind us. "I can sleep in my wolf form if you're not comfortable."

"You're stillyouin your wolf form."

"So?"

"So we'd still be snuggling."

"You need to change before we go out there." He dropped the bag on the bed and unzipped it, changing the subject without acknowledging that he was doing so.

My eyebrows lifted as he pulled out a pair of full-length leggings and another cropped tee.

It said,Fuck Off.

I could see why Rhone wanted me wearing that instead ofBite Me.

"I hate leggings," I said.

"Youhatedthem as a human. Bloom said it was a visual thing, not a comfort thing. Just try them on. Not being annoyed by your clothes helps with the bloodlust."

When he tossed me the leggings, I reluctantly took them into the bathroom with me.

Rhone caught the door before I could close it.

"You're not watching me change," I said bluntly.

He put a few toiletries in my arms and pulled the door shut.

I looked down and found a stick of deodorant, a toothbrush, and a hairbrush.

That was… helpful.
