His patient tone sharpened with worry. “I told you, I’m a werewolf. My knot locks us together.”

Those words seeped into my brain, swirling around for a few minutes. I held my panic at bay while I considered. Did he have some sort of toy attached to him? Was he so big he just got stuck?

Curling, I looked between us, gingerly feeling our connection. There was an obvious swelling, not normal for any cock I’d ever seen or heard of. Pressing my fingers in, I ignored Thorne’s little grunt as I prodded what he was calling his knot. Not a cock ring, just him.

“Did you get plastic surgery or something?” I asked, my voice high and shaky.

“No, of course not. Did you not believe me when I said I was a werewolf?” Thorne said.

Alarm bells went off in my brain.

Werewolf.

Big werewolf dick locked inside of me.

“Like, you change into a big shaggy monster once a month?” I asked.

“Yeah,” Thorne confirmed, frowning.

That did it. Icy panic filled me from my stomach up to my brain, blotting out my thoughts and leaving nothing but sheer terror. I tried to jerk my hips back, but I barely moved Thorne. We were clearly locked together.

“What the fuck, what the fuck. What. The. Fuck!”

Scrambling, I pivoted my upper body so I could reach my phone in the passenger seat’s cup holder. Stretching, I closed my index and middle finger around it and lifted it to my chest.

My thoughts were fuzzy from hyperventilation.

“Autumn, love, calm down. It’s okay, you’re safe,” Thorne said.

“You’re a motherfucking werewolf!” I screeched, my hands shaking so bad, it took three tries to unlock my phone. Hitting the phone button, I typed in 9-1-1.

Before I could press “call”, Thorne pulled the phone from my grasp. Turning it, he scowled at the display.

“I can’t let you do that.”

“Why? Because you’re going to bite me?”

“I’d like to bite you,” he admitted. “But that isn’t why.”

“I don’t want to be a werewolf like you!” I shrieked.

“That’s not how it works. It’s genetic, like from your parents. And you’re clearly already part werewolf, or we wouldn’t have bonded.”

Thorne swiped away from my emergency call and dropped my phone into his driver’s seat, out of my reach.

Flailing, I tried to lunge for it, but his damn knot kept me pinned in place.

“What? No!”

“I can’t have you exposing us. I’m sorry. I need you to calm down so I can explain.” His hand skimmed over my shoulder, and I knocked it away.

“Why would I calm down? I’ve got a fucking werewolf cock lodged inside of me! Do people know about this?”

“No, and they can’t.”

“Sucks for you, but you shouldn’t have stuck that knot inside of me, you fucker!” At that point, my words were nonsense, just a string of panic and anger jumbled together. Tears filled my eyes. Dammit! I always cried when I was angry.

“Baby, it wouldn’t be safe for any of us. I need you to calm down.”
