Rose scooped her off the ground. Smothering each other with nasty, sloppy kisses, Minx’s legs fell around his waist. His strong arms kept her in place against his upper torso while he backed her into a wall and attacked her with lust-filled kisses. A puddle formed between her legs. Rose slowed down, catching his breath, but still kissing her gently as she ran her hand over the top of his head. He pulled back a little, resting his forehead against hers. With the cutest pout she stared back at him, and his stiff member jerked at the cute half smile she gave him.
“It’s us against everybody, Minx. Don’t ever doubt that shit. Another bitch will never know the key to my fucking heart because only you hold that,” he assured her, his large hand resting against her collarbone gently while her heart thumped rapidly in her chest.
He knew that feeling all too well because his seemed to have the same rhythm.
“Take me upstairs. Right now. It’s me against you. May the strongest one win.” She swiped her tongue across his lips, and he took her mouth and fed her his.
Rose gladly carried her up the stairs, where they fucked up his bedroom and ended up spread out sideways on the foot of his bed. Naked, tangled in the sheets, Minx lay next to him watching his sweat-covered chest rise and fall. Rose had to catch his breath from the work they put in. Minx drained his soul, and when his eyes fell on her it was almost like seeing her for the first time. He’d known her most of his life, but never like that. The way he felt inside her, the grip her walls put on his dick. He’d imprinted on her for sure, like a wolf, and he didn’t want to forget how it felt. “Why you looking at me like that?” she asked, her face flushed and insides fluttering like a lovesick little girl.
Rose gave her that old-school love vibe, and she held it very close to her heart.
“Because I have known you for over twenty years, and… you still amaze the fuck out of me,” he voiced, reaching out to rub his hand down her arm as she scooted closer and pecked his lips.
“Well, you are full of surprises yourself. I didn’t know it could be like that… sex. It’s like… we’re on a plane together, just us, and we’re taking each other as high as we can go until?—”
Rose made an explosion sound and waved his hand in the air to animate what he was trying to say.
“Climax is a mothafucka.” He grinned and rolled his body over on top of her. “This shit between us is authentic. We the fucking goals, shorty. You and me.” He swept some of her hair from her face, and his lips lightly touched hers before it turned into a full-blown kiss.
“You tellingme my fucking mama is dead!” Gannon screeched, pacing the floor of his apartment.
Sekani and Eirian stood across from him, faces downcast. Galena was declared DOA at the hospital. She was brain dead, so there was nothing that they could do for her. Bringing his hands to the top of his head, he paced frantically with his gun in his hand. Tears built up in his eyes when he thought about never seeing his mother again.
“How the fuck did this happen, E! Huh!” Gannon bucked from across the counter.
Eirian didn’t fear him, not even in that moment. He knew he was just processing some shit. Sekani empathized with him. All she wanted to do was take him in her arms and hold him, but he wasn’t about to go for that as turned up as he was right now.
“She met with that bitch, Mila. I was covering her outside, in case she tried something like an ambush. Next thing I know, the fucking ambulance is pulling up. Nobody saw shit. One woman said she didn’t even remember seeing her sitting with anyone. Another witness claims a woman was there and slipped out the back. The only thing Galena did was eat some fucking dip at the table,” Eirian concluded.
“Mila did it. She had to. Ain’t no other answer. She killed my fucking mother!”
“Now what the fuck you wanna do about it?” Eirian asked, checking his temp. “They took my father and your mother. Killing Max ain’t enough. All of these mothafuckas gotta go.”
Agreeing, Gannon nodded and Eirian’s nostrils flared.
“Yeah, it’s time for all of them to feel it,” Gannon stated.
Sekani and Eirian’s phones went off simultaneously. Frowning in the same confused manner, they checked their devices as Gannon’s shit also started going off in his pocket.
“Yeah,” Eirian picked up and listened as screams erupted on the phone.
“The fuck you just say?” Sekani demanded, brows knitted above her dark-chestnut eyes.
Gannon had a news app going off, and it was reporting the explosion at Dynamite. His heart dropped to his stomach, and he brought his gaze back up to Eirian and Sekani. Each hanging up, Eirian squeezed his device so tight in his hand it hurt as he cut his eyes across the counter at Gannon.
“There was an explosion at Dynamite,” Sekani whispered. “Rooney was inside. He’s dead.”
“What!” Gannon shouted, watching them rush toward the door.
Neither of them answered, so he chased after them. He knew where they were going, so when he caught up to them in the parking lot, he hopped into the back seat of Eirian’s car. Not too much later, they arrived outside of the club. There were ambulances, fire trucks, and police everywhere. Sekani rushed out of the car before Eirian could even park well. It was so tight with space that he left his whip angled on the street and they all got out together. The building was charred, resembling the color of charcoal as white smoke floated above it into the clouds.
“Rooney!” Sekani screamed, making a run for the building.
The staff standing around had to rush to stop her from going inside the unstable building. Eirian was behind her, arm around her waist to keep her from bursting inside. It was clear from the damage that nobody survived this. Sekani kicked and screamed as Eirian lifted her from the ground and hauled her away from the horrific display.
“Rooney!” she yelped, her voice cracked and weakening.
There was way too much for anyone to have made it through. It wasn’t even open for business, but he text not long ago and said that he was waiting for them.
