I cried out as he immediately buried his face between my legs. I propped up to watch and chuffed, Eloise unhappy too. “Shirt. Off.”

He slowly lifted his head and licked his lips. “And here I thought that planking challenge stuff was corny. Fuck, social media for the win.”

His shirt was off before I could reply and he was back to his task.

Which was eating me out so perfectly that I couldn’t even tell what he was doing or where I was before I just exploded. I fisted his longer hair and loved how soft and silky it was under my fingers.

And apparently, he liked some hair pulling because he got more aggressive with my pussy… Which made me finish again.

“I don’t regret it,” I gasped when he was done and I was still having aftershocks.

He pushed up but then lowered his forehead to my stomach and burst out laughing. “You are so perfect for me. You have to—you are so mine, Sagan.” He moved over me and kissed me softly. “That was exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you, My Queen.”

“Thank you,” I purred, sliding my hand over his shoulder and the other down his chest and abs. “You have to be tense now too.”

Heat filled his eyes. “Yes, I’m dying to have you. Let me have you and—”

“I didn’t mean that yet,” I cut in, feeling stupid. Of course he’d think that.

Onyx was amazing and didn’t even flinch. “You’re going to touch me? I get to feel your hand on my cock?” He groaned when I nodded. “Touch me, baby girl. Fuck, all I need to be happy is you touching me now that I’ve tasted you.”

I felt shy when he said it like that and didn’t push for sex. Kole had immediately… I cleared my throat and sat up, making him as well.

He frowned and then seemed to swallow something. “I’m not him.”

“You have the same eyes and you just went to see him,” I whispered. “Sorry.” I went to roll out of bed, but he was quicker and pulled me onto his lap and hugged me.

“You never have to be sorry. Not with me. He abused you, Sagan. You’re not being petty or… Do you want me to use magic to change my eyes? Would that help you?”

“No, never,” I answered immediately. “I would never—that’s not any healthier.”

“Not forever. Just until you heal some more,” he said gently.

I turned and brushed my lips over his. “Thank you. Really. I know you’re not him. I know that. That was the thought of how different you are, but then I thought of him while naked with you and I just felt…” I sighed and ducked my head against his neck.

“Thank you for telling me. I can be as patient and help as you need, but I don’t know what I’m doing either, so I just need you to tell me. Tell me what’s going on. I won’t be mad.”

I snickered. “I’m glad because I’ve learned you have a temper it seems.” I smiled evilly when he froze. “How bad did you beat their asses? Was it good?”

“Fuck, you are so perfect for me and hot.” He easily stood with me in his arms and brought me over to the closet. “Robe for now or I will do everything to you again.”

I wouldn’t really have objected to that but… Yeah, would have been awkward given the discussion now.

He wrapped his huge arms around me as he softly kissed my neck. “Don’t look at me like that, baby girl. I’m not rejecting you. I’m trying to do what’s best for you andusto have a healthy relationship in the long run. I don’t know the answers though. I’m winging it.”

“Thanks for making sure I know that,” I whispered and pulled away, noting how he watched me as I reached for my robe. Once it was on, I slid my hand in his, which made him happy.

I was happy that he was still shirtless. Onyx was fuckingripped. Like just defined and every muscle moving as he did.

“I’ll have to keep up my routines,” he muttered as we sat on my loveseat. “The dig I was on when your parents died—it was rough. It was completely underfunded and I was doing a lot more heavy lifting than normal. I wanted…” He trailed off, which confused me.

“What?” I mentally winced. “I wasn’t upset that you talked all the dinner. I like listening to you talk. I really do.”

He gave me a soft smile and a quick kiss. “Thank you. It means a lot you said that because I get nervous and awkward and ramble. I don’t mean to be self-centered, but the quiet when I’m—I don’t like it.” He cleared his throat and gestured around. “I just realized this room is really, um…”

“I’m working on it,” I grumbled. “I’ve never like decorated anything and—I ordered a lamp and a couple of plants. I’ve been busy.”

“No, yeah, yeah,of course,” he hurried to say with an awkward chuckle. “It’s just there’s no personality—definitely notyourpersonality.” He frowned. “Almost like a bit of this and that from different rooms?”
