“Can you tell me where Maple Road is?” she asked Larry, who seemed the more harmless of the two. “I need to get to 14 Maple Road.”

“We’ll see,” she said finishing off her toast. “So where is it?”
Armed with directions to Diesel’s house Sonya drove off, leaving the Pig Out Diner and its pigs behind her.

Tiger Bite
Rex had lost her scent. He nursed a beer in his hand at a seedy club. The smell of beer and cigarette smoke perfumed the air, the sound of hysterical laughter and loud music deafened him to his own thoughts.
‘That bitch better hide somewhere I can’t find her,’ he thought sneering, ‘because if I do I’ll skin her alive.’

Dirty Deeds
The cabin was spacious with a porch swing and a BBQ grill. There were no flowers growing in pots, no cushions on the swing and no rug to add a certain homey feel to it and Sonya figured the cabin had never seen a woman’s touch.
‘I’d paint that door a bright blue,’ she thought as she parked her car behind the black pickup truck in the drive. The gables were painted a wilted green but it looked like an ancient job. ‘I hope the inside’s less disappointing.’
The cabin door opened and a man peered out at her.
‘Holy mother!’ Sonya thought. ‘Did I hit the jackpot or what?’
