Larz watched me with hunger in her dark eyes as I struggled to grasp what was happening. I couldn’t, for even a moment, believe that she felt the same pull I did. I had convinced myself I was completely crazy, or making the whole thing up. In my mind, there was no way someone like her would be into someone like me.
I felt completely out of control. She was opening me up and reading me like a book. I wanted to ask more. I wanted to understand what this feeling was. But most of all, I needed to climb on her beautiful face and relieve the ache between my legs.
“I want to know you, too.” So many words caught in my throat, but that was all I managed to say. It seemed to satisfy her enough.
“Would you like to go on a walk, maybe get something to eat? We can get to know each other better.”
Larz was already pushing to her feet, securing her skateboard under her arm. She looked fucking amazing with her hair loose around her face, falling to kiss her exposed waist. I didn’t think I could last another second around her without throwing myself at her. I needed to get home and relieve my relentless need.
“I, uh, I have a lot of unpacking to do at home, actually.” I regretted it as soon as I said it. It sounded like I was rejecting her.
“I can help.”
Persistent, I like it. Her smile burned into my soul, and it was like I’d do anything to please her.
“Yes, please.” The eagerness in my voice made me cringe.
“Lead the way.”

Watching Larz effortlessly lift boxes and move furniture around my home only made everything worse. The way her muscles twisted and stretched under her glistening skin sucked every bit of willpower I had left in me. I needed her and it made no sense.
I tried to busy myself with cooking us dinner, but her soft grunts filled my mind with every filthy thing I could do to her to make her groan under me. My legs were basically dripping with my arousal. If I didn’t do something to ease it soon, I was going to explode.
“Are you alright?” Larz’s voice in my ear made me jump and let out an involuntary whimper.
“Yeah, I just,” my voice shook, I couldn’t hide the need in my words, “I’m just…sore. From the moving.”
She leaned her head over my shoulder, her glossy, black hair tickling my arm. She was so close, I could feel the heat of her body against mine. Normally, I didn’t like anyone so close to me, but with Larz, inches away was much too far.
“Smells good.” She reached her arm around me, grazing my hips as she lifted the top off the soup pot. But it wasn’t the simmering stew she was talking about.
She inhaled deeply, the tip of her nose ghosted down my neck, sending shivers all over my body. The desperate, damnable need purred through me. Larz had awakened something sinful and dark deep in my bones and I wanted to feed it.
I turned to face her, and my control disappeared. There was nothing I wanted more than for Larz to lift me onto the counter and take control. She trapped me between her hard, rippling arms and the marble countertop. My back pressed into the sharp edge, but I didn’t care. I could see the same need sizzling just beneath her skin. She was fighting the same losing battle I was.
My hands hung limp at my sides like dead weight. My fingers tingled with an inner demand and before I could fight it, my arm moved slowly on its own accord. I let the pads of my index and middle fingers graze across her hip. Her breath hitched, she leaned closer, and my grip locked around her shirt. I held on like I would float away if I let go.
“Would you let me devour you without knowing what I truly am, Ilona?” The rasp in her voice pulled a groan from my throat. She grabbed my chin, pulling my gaze to meet hers. “Do you want me to show you just how erotic the unknown can be?”
“Yes,” I whimpered.
I didn’t know what the fuck she meant by it, but I didn’t let myself dwell on it. My dream woman was in front of me, pulsing with the same need I was, nothing else mattered.
“Just say the word, tell me it’s too much and I’ll stop.” Her jaw clenched after the words left her lips. I studied her closely. Behind the arousal, the need, the possession…there was fear mixed with a subtle uncertainty.
“I will. But right now, please don’t stop.” My free hand stroked her cheek. I infused each touch with reassurance.
She wrapped one arm around my waist, still grasping my chin, and pulled me closer. Her hold was possessive and tender all at the same time. She held my gaze and with a flash of her eyes, the whites melted away. They were completely black.
I gasped, but instead of backing away, I moved closer. I couldn’t explain it. I should’ve been scared. Her eyes had just transformed into those of a creature…a monster. It was impossible, but somehow, I didn’t feel anything but my need multiplying. My words still rang true; I didn’t want her to stop.
She chuckled, her forked tongue flicking out to wet her lips. “I was right about you, my little stinger.”
The endearment tickled at my belly and heated my cheeks, but before I could respond, she moved, crashing her lips into mine. Our septum piercings clanked together as I let her in, her unique tongue dancing around mine. The pull in my chest tightened and locked, cementing me to her. There was no way I could get away even if I wanted to.
Her grip was solid, my hips ached under her fingers as she pressed herself against me. I secretly hoped I’d have bruises in the morning, proof all this was real and that she’d wanted me.
