“Oh, big bruh definitely serious. You already family, Kash, just give the nigga what he want,” Donnie suggested still showing off them pearly whites.
Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out the rings and opened the case.
“It’s always been you, Ma. Do a nigga this one favor, and I won’t ask for another.”
Her gaze went from me to each one of my siblings before huffing as she rolled her eyes.
“For some reason, I knew I wasn’t gon’ be able to just up and leave the way I normally did this time. The fact that you know my body better than me is crazy. You win, D. You got a bitch to fold. Where do I sign?”
I pointed to her spot, and she signed without hesitation. Draymond and Donnie stepped up next signing as our two witnesses. The clerk came from behind the counter and went through the process with us exchanging vows. By the time we walked out that bitch, Solenne was no longer a Sinclair but a Saint. You got to know she made a nigga day.
“Aye, where y’all headed?” Donnie questioned jumping on my back.
“Yeah, that ain’t happening. We got some christening to do. Some other time boys,” Sol stated pulling me toward the whip.
“You heard my wife lil’ nigga. Some other time,” I reiterated.
I couldn’t enjoy the moment due to my cell ringing. It was my connect that worked for the city. He was on payroll for one specific thing. I was hoping this was the news I’d been waiting on for months.
“Yo,” I answered stepping away from my folk for a second.
“Hey D, what’s the word?”
“You tell me, Roland. What we looking at?”
“I have the details for the renovation. Can we meet soon?”
“Not today. A nigga just got taken off the market. I’ll shoot you a text sometime tomorrow when I’m available. Good looking out,” I voiced knowing luck was something I always had on my side.
“That’s fine with me, just hit me. Oh, and D, congratulations. Marriage is a beautiful thing.”
“I’m already knowing. ‘Preciate you.”
I hung up and went to gather my wife from my siblings. Like she said, we had shit to do.

JACKPOT
KASH
Awife. I’d been living for the past few days as a wife… oh, a fuckin’ mother to be. I came back to Magnolia Valley for D-Row’s reality escape experience, not to be tied down all the way around the board. This man told me several times over I had but so many times to come in and break his heart before he did the unthinkable. I didn’t think me leaving was causing him so much pain. In my eyes, we agreed to never be anything more than unofficial lovers. It worked until it didn’t, I guess.
He was tired of my shit.
Waltzing into the living room, I began to clean up. Lately Declan had been pulling late nights, and I didn’t fault him ‘cause he still came home between reasonable hours. However, he was drained as hell. That was written all over his face.
I started throwing papers in his brief case when I came across a blueprint and a notebook to the right of it. Slowly picking it up, I realized these were the new floor plans for Ross Savings & Loans date for a couple years out. It seemed as if the current vault they had sat in the middle of the plans for a new subway in the Valley.
The notebook was wide open and the first thing that caught my eye was his sibling’s name. With dipped brows, I moved on to that next. As I flipped through the pages, it began to register that D had been drawing up a game plan to rob Ross Savings & Loans. He even had side notes of him stating how much this job was of no importance.
This entire time he’d been working Ross Savings & Loans wasn’t because he had to. It was ‘cause the nigga had every intention on robbing them blind. I couldn’t deny how shocked and unaware I was. He’d kept this from me but I definitely understood why. Me and my girls were jacking this shit.
I picked up my cell and called Rebel. As usual, she ignored my call. I doubled down and hit her again. She answered with, “I’m busy.”
“Get unbusy, Rain. Let me call Dice.”
I found Dice’s contact, hit the phone icon beside it, and let it ring. Dice answered, and I merged.
