I should let him savor this.
And yet, my hips were too eager to savor anything.
Alright, scratch that. It wasn't my hips.
It was me.
Seeking some semblance of control, I shifted again, marveling at how our bodies fit together like nothing else mattered.
Underneath me, he said in a soft groan, "You're amazing."
My hips moved again, slower this time, and the reaction I got from him – a sharp intake of breath, his hands tightening at my waist – sent a rush of heat straight through me.
On a ragged breath, I said, "So are you."
I leaned down, brushing my mouth against his, not quite kissing him, just getting close enough to feel his breath as I moved again, more certain this time. The sensation made me gasp as my fingers lingered on his muscular chest.
It was all so much.
And so absolutely perfect.
"Maddox…" I whispered.
"Yeah?"
"I'm really glad I snuck in here."
"Me, too."
And already, I was moving again, finding a rhythm almost without thinking, the slow glide of it pulling a soft, breathless sound from me that I couldn't quite hold back. His hands slid along my sides, then back to my hips, guiding just enough to keep me steady.
The feel of him, the sound of him, the reality of him – it was a bliss I'd never known.
I straightened, with my hands still braced on his chest as I moved again, deeper this time, with more purpose. The shift sent a surge of heat coursing through me, the sensation building faster than I might've imagined.
"Okay," I breathed, half-laughing under my breath. "That's – wow."
He huffed something that might've been a laugh, but his grip tightened again, his voice low when he said in a breathless tone that was half-teasing, half-sin, "Wow again?"
I smiled in the darkness. "Definitely." And then I showed him the meaning of wow by moving with him, letting myself fall into the rhythm between us as his breathing turned just as ragged as mine.
In a rough voice, he said, "You're so fucking beautiful."
I was panting now. "But…you can't even see me."
"I've seen you plenty. Right from the start, I couldn't look away."
His words were warm and sweet, and I let them wash over me, loving the sound of them, the sound of us, as our movements became more frantic.
I lowered my face and kissed him hard and heavy as my body chased the heat deep in my core that was building all over again.
Everything seemed to narrow down to this – him, me, and the way we fit too perfectly for words. His grip tightened as I found the exact rhythm we needed. And the sound he made – low and unsteady – sent something snapping loose inside me.
I gasped his name as everything hit at once, my body tightening around him as the rhythm broke apart and surged back, stronger, deeper, and impossible to hold back.
Underneath me, he followed a heartbeat later, his hands anchoring me in place as his breath turned rough against mine, and everything in him crested right along with me.
In that moment, there was nothing in the whole world but us.
