She sat back in her seat. "Huh. You know, that's a really good point." She leaned forward and returned her attention to the screen. "But how'd you get all these photos?"

"I've had a team working on it – going through all of your connections and their connections – and so on."

"Wait…my connections?"

"Yeah. That lawyer and whoever."

"And then what?" she asked. "You had people take photos?"

"Nah. Most of these were pulled off social media. It wasn't that hard." This was a slight understatement. In truth, I'd had a team of five working around the clock. But Delaney didn't need to know that.

I knew how she was. She'd want to pay me back.

That's not what I wanted. Her safety would be reward enough. Plus, I hated the thought of her constantly looking over her shoulder.

Whoever the guy was, we'd find him one way or another.

And then what?

Well, that depended.

Regardless, there was no way in hell I'd let the problem linger.

So as the rain poured outside, Delaney studied photo after photo, recognizing maybe ten percent. This wasn't a surprise. Most of the photos weren't of Lenny's clients – but rather relatives of clients, friends of clients, and employees of clients – along with plenty of people who weren't connected to his clients at all.

There was the husband of the realtor who had listed the building across the street, the brother of Delaney's landlord, and the employees of any business in Lenny's orbit.

Hell, I'd even had my team do the same for a five-block radius of where Delaney had been living in West Haven, pulling up anyone remotely connected to her neighbors. Sure, it was a longshot, but if there was a connection, we'd find it.

Except we weren't finding it, because all too soon, I was nearing the end of the slide show, and the guy still hadn't shown his face.

But then, maybe a dozen photos from the end, Delaney gave a little gasp. "Oh, my God. That's him. That's the guy."

Bingo. I didn't take my eyes from the screen. The guy was maybe thirty-five, with a muscular build and sharp eyes. He looked like a professional bodyguard or maybe an ex-cop.

Shit. No wonder Delaney had been spooked. I looked to her and asked, "You sure?"

She nodded. "Positive."

If I had the picture, I also had his name. I leaned back in my seat. "Good."

Her eyebrows furrowed. "So, now what?"

I grinned. "Now we get to the bottom of it."

Except there was no we.

This, I'd be handling alone.

I walked into Maisie's bike shop and froze.

Oh, my God.
