“Alrighty then. You’re ready. Go drink from your viramore.”
I was bouncing on my toes, which made him smirk, but I ignored that and asked, “Will I still need to drink from you?”
“For a little while, but if it goes well, you can drink from us both for a few weeks.”
“Okay, great. Thank you, sire.”
“It’s my pleasure, fledgling. Call me if you run into trouble.”
“I will, but I’ve got this.”
He smiled widely. “You sure do, Hugo.”
With a grin, I took off, back to our house.
With my vampire speed, I was back in a matter of seconds. Zay startled a little at my return, but he laughed at himself and shot me a smile.
“So…? What did he say?”
“He said… yes!”
His eyes widened a moment before I flew into his arms, wrapping myself around him.
“Are you sure about this?” I whispered.
“Yes. I’m dying for it.”
I groaned. “So am I, viramore.” I didn’t call him that often, but he loved when I did.
He let out a small groan himself, then picked me up with ease, capturing my mouth as he moved toward the staircase. Both of us were so eager and had been waiting for what felt like forever that it wasn’t even a question of whether we were waiting or doing this right this second.
Even though I was a little nervous that he’d fall or drop me, I didn’t try to stop him from carrying me all the way up the steps. I kept kissing him and running my hands all over him as he carefully made his way up.
We reached the bedroom, and he kicked the door open, walked over to the bed, and dropped me on it. I laughed and yanked his shirt up until he pulled it over his head.
He nodded at my chest. “Now you.”
I didn’t hesitate to pull mine off too, and I let out a loud sigh of happiness when his incubus magic came out to play with us. I loved that part of him as much as the rest, even though he was sometimes a little scared of it. Although he hardly ever seemed scared or nervous of it these days. Which was great.
I was about to ask him what he wanted to do, but then he tilted his head to the side, offering up his neck, and said, “Drink from me, isa mezelie. Please.”
I gulped as nerves, lust, and hunger like I’d never felt all mixed together, vying for the top spot in the what-is-Hugo-feeling game. “Are you sure?”
He groaned and climbed on top of me, straddling my thighs as he tilted his head again. “Drink from me, Hugo. Now.”
A part of me was terrified, but most of me was thrilled and dying for a taste. We’d talked about this a million times, so I knew Zay wanted it. There was no question. And we both knew I wanted it too.
So I kept one hand behind me, holding me up, then lifted my other hand to Zay’s face. I cupped his cheek for a moment, then ran my hand up to his hair and tangled my fingers in it. As gently as I could, I took hold of him, keeping his head still so I didn’t hurt him. Then I leaned up, licked over his neck, mouthed it for a moment, and found the perfect spot.
For only a beat, I almost asked him again, but I knew what he would say. He’d given me permission. He’d asked for it so many times, and right now, I could feel through our bond how badly he wanted it.
So I let my teeth sink into his supple skin.
He let out a small gasp, but not a bad one, more like a turned-on one.
And then I lifted my fangs up a tiny bit so the blood could bubble out, and I sucked, pushing every good feeling, every ounce of love, and every fucking ounce of my want into the bite.
As the first trickle of his blood hit my tongue, my body lit up, and Zaos let out a loud, low moan. His magic reacted, shooting out of him in a shadow of black tendrils that wrapped around us both. Every brush of his magic against my skin was a zap of pleasure through my body.
