December Edition — Let’s Get Festive (But Not Excessive)

Vol. 49, Issue 10

Rise and Shine, Morningwood!

Dear Morningwood Residents,

The holidays are upon us, which means it’s time once again to come together as a community and spread cheer, goodwill, and tasteful amounts of sparkle. Please review the following seasonal updates, reminders, and opportunities for maximum participation.

HOUSE OF THE HOLIDAY — COMMUNITY JUDGING EVENT

It’s back! Our annual House of the Holiday competition returns, and we can’t wait to see what you all bring out this year.

Judging Criteria Includes:

• Brightness

• Creativity

• Structural integrity

• Holiday spirit

• Overall presentation

Judging will take place the evening of December 18th, so make sure your displays are fully up, plugged in, and proudly presented by sundown.

Important Reminder:

There is a fine line between festive and excessive. No more than six inflatable decorations per yard. Excessive inflation will result in citation.

LIGHTS & YARD DECOR GUIDELINES

• All lights must be securely fastened.

• No extension cords may cross sidewalks or public pathways.

• Flashing displays must not induce seizures, migraines, or neighborhood disputes.

• Lawn figures should remain upright, stable, and appropriately spaced.

Please ensure your decorations are properly mounted, positioned, and secured for maximum enjoyment and safety.

THE MORNINGWOOD CAROLERS

Our beloved carolers will once again roam the neighborhood spreading holiday joy, questionable harmony, and mild embarrassment.

If you wish to participate:

• Sign-up sheets are available at the clubhouse.

• Ugly sweaters are strongly encouraged.
