Her eyes followed Rook.
Watched the way the others looked at him.
Trusted him.
Followed him.
Not a survivor anymore.
Not simply a Navy SEAL commander.
Something else.
Something dangerous.
A hunter.
The corner of her mouth lifted.
Barely.
Almost invisible.
But there.
She closed the laptop.
Picked up her rifle.
Slung it over one shoulder.
Then looked toward the city lights.
Toward the men who thought they were hunting alone.
