Inside, lights glowed behind closed doors.
A meeting was underway.
The kind no one was supposed to know existed.
Unfortunately for the people inside, Shadow Division had become very good at finding secrets.
Rook lay on a wooded ridge beyond the western fence.
Sniper occupied a position thirty yards to his left. Falcon watched the runway through a high-powered scope.
Reef and Maverick monitored the eastern approach.
Cobra waited near their vehicles with strict orders not to destroy anything.
Rook expected him to violate at least the spirit of that command.
“Six guards,” Falcon reported.
“Eight exterior cameras,” Fathom said through the encrypted channel from Alaska. “Two additional patrols near the east entrance.”
“Any facial identification?” Rook asked.
“Three Aegis executives. Two former intelligence officers. One defense contractor.”
“None of our seven?”
“Not yet.”
Rook watched the hangar through his binoculars.
Shadows moved behind the illuminated windows. Bodyguards crossed hallways. Men gathered inside a second-floor conference room.
Tonight wasn’t about a raid.
It was about information.
Faces.
Connections.
Proof.
Who still trusted whom.
Who still believed they were untouchable.
Headlights appeared along the private access road.
A black SUV approached the main gate.
The guards checked the driver’s credentials before allowing it through.
Fathom’s voice sharpened.
“New arrival.”
Rook tracked the vehicle.
