“Jesus, you’re close already, aren’t you?”
“Yes, don’t stop. I need to come quickly.”
Much to my surprise, he upped the intensity.
Behind clenched teeth, I let out a low moan.
“Are the lights on or off?” he asked.
“The bedside lamp is on.”
“What was your deal with having the lights off the other night?”
Why was he asking me silly questions when I was about to—? “Ahhh, why did you stop?”
“Answer my question about the lights. You normally have sex with them off? Or was it only with me?”
“Why does it matter?”
“Because I’d like to know.”
“Fine, it was only with you.” After his comment about not cutting it at his club, the last thing I wanted was for him to see me in the light. He wasn’t wrong. I’d been to his club, and all of the girls had incredible bodies. Pre-motherhood bodies.
“You despise me that much?” His voice held a hard edge.
“What? No. But you can’t expect me to flaunt my body in front of you after your comment the first time we met.”
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“In the back room, you said I’d never cut it in one of your clubs.”
“I wasn’t referring to your body. I was talking about your dead eyes and lack of enthusiasm for being there. It was clear to anyone paying attention you were miserable stripping. Jesus, no wonder you thought me an asshole.”
“I’m sure there was more than one reason. Do you think we could have this conversation another time? Because lying here half naked with a dead vibrator is something I could do without you.”
He laughed and turned it back on.
Thank goodness. My body immediately tensed with the vibration.
“Are you close?”
“So close.” My muscles clenched and released in a fantastic climax which had me crying out.
He stopped the vibration, leaving only the sound of my harsh breathing in the silent room.
“Do you wish I could be there, my tongue cleaning you up?”
“Yes.” The vision of his head between my legs had me longing for his scenario.
“What if I told you I was here? Standing outside of the bedroom door.”
I scrambled up to a sitting position. “What? You’re here? Now?”
“Yes. But I won’t come in if you don’t want me to.”
Chance might be an asshole, but the fact he’d respected my boundaries showed me he could also be considerate. My heart raced at the thought of him on the other side of the doors.
“Yes or no, Tory?”
