“I thought about tasting you. About giving you a fraction of the pleasure you give me when you go down.”

Her hand started jacking me slowly, causing pre-cum to leak out my tip. As if she couldn’t stand the idea of it going to waste, she scooted off the counter and went directly to her knees. After pushing my shorts down, she took me between her sexy lips.

“Jesus,” I muttered, my eyes slamming shut at the sensation of her taking me to the back of her throat.

Not satisfied with only having my cock in her mouth, she switched tactics and lavished attention on my balls, sucking them into her mouth and licking the sensitive skin beneath. All the while, she jacked me with her hand. Then she swallowed me down, bobbing up and down on my length.

I brushed her hair out of her face and curled my fist around it so I didn’t lose sight of her lips. Fuck, those lips were what fantasies were made of. When she moaned around me, I had to use my free hand to brace myself on the vanity. My release started to build, my balls drawing up and tingles shooting down my spine. I was on borrowed time, my thighs starting to shake, my vision narrowing.

“I’m going to come,” I warned, but instead of popping off, she sucked harder. I spilled into her mouth and watched her swallow it down as if it gave her as much enjoyment as it did me.

Holy fuck. I finally knew the meaning of having my world rocked.

The next morning Kelsey lay stretched out on my bed, completely nude and so sexy it was difficult for me to resist disturbing her. She’d been an absolute goddess last night, on her knees, my cock between her pillowy lips. Dammit. I had to leave the room; otherwise it’d be to hell with her probable hangover, and I’d be fucking her awake.

Once I returned from taking Lady on her run, I chuckled when Kelsey was still sprawled in the same position I’d left her in. A sign of life emerged when she lifted her head, but she ended up groaning at the effort. One eye opened slightly. “I’m never drinking again.”

“That bad?”

“Yes. I blame the shot Brooke insisted on at the end. I think it tipped me over.”

“I have just the thing for you. I’ll be back.”

She hadn’t moved when I returned with an espresso. “Can you sit up?”

She stirred. “Depends. Do I smell coffee?”

“Espresso with a dash of Fernet Branca, Italian bitters. My mom swears by it as a hangover cure, and on the few occasions I’ve overindulged, it was a lifesaver.”

She sat up, wrapped the sheet around her chest, and accepted the cup. “Thank you. Also for wiping off my makeup. Raccoon-eyed mascara would’ve made me look as bad as I feel.”

“Remember that, do you?”

She met my gaze. “I remember everything.” Her cheeks heated, indicating what she recalled. After her epic blow job, I’d set her up on the counter and returned the favor by burying my tongue and fingers inside of her.

“Good, because otherwise you might not believe these scratches are from you.” I lifted my shirt and did a three-sixty. Her horrified expression on viewing the scratches on my shoulders cracked me up.

“Oh my God, Dominic. I’m so—”

“Don’t you dare be sorry.” I took her hand and kissed it. “I loved every minute of it. And now I have a reminder of you all week long while I miss you. Finish your coffee, and I’ll make you the perfect hangover breakfast.”

Chapter Thirty-Three

Kelsey

I’d had an incredible weekend with Dominic. I’d gone from thinking I’d met the biggest flirt and playboy to feeling safe with a man who was quickly capturing my heart. Was I still scared? Fucking terrified. Yet I also had hope.

I peered down at my phone on Monday morning as I sat at my desk and smiled at the text Dominic had sent me.

“Have a good morning, beautiful. I’ll see you later today.”

I’d left his bed at six o’clock this morning. Reluctantly. We’d spent yesterday curled up in bed watching movies, and once I was mostly recovered from my hangover, we’d gone for a nice long walk on the beach. Overnight, I’d suffered no further nightmares.

He’d said he was comfortable with me setting the pace of the relationship, but I couldn’t help wondering what would happen after I finished this assignment. Perhaps we could take turns driving to see one another on the weekends if my next job was in LA. Or maybe I could find another assignment down here, and we could continue with what we’d started.

But I was getting ahead of myself. First, I needed to finish up the audit. And do a good enough job to earn a recommendation for future such employment. Additionally I needed to figure out what to do about my mother. She’d left me countless voicemails despite me texting her I didn’t wish to speak with her right now. She’d betrayed me by giving information to Joel, and I wasn’t sure I could forgive her yet.

I’d started to settle into my spreadsheet when my phone rang with my father’s number. I was instantly alarmed. He never called me. Ever. “Hello.”
