“Are you my alpha, too?” she asked, not quite ready to let go of Eidan.
Reinn grinned, his sharp canine teeth reflecting the moonlight. “I always have been.”
They both slowed down, the hand off a little tricky as she tried to maneuver her way to his lap. But instead of sitting across it, he had her straddle him, their chests pressed together, her nose right in his shoulder.
And his cock… his cock was hard and rubbing right where she wanted it.
“Oh,” she said on a breath, unable to keep herself from moving against it.
“There you go,” he chuckled. “My body is yours, take what you need until we can stop and I can knot you properly.”
With one hand supporting her lower back and the other on the reins, he took the lead again, knowing exactly where to go.
Now, every jostle and bump was working with her, and she licked and nibbled on Reinn’s exposed skin as she rotated her hips and found the perfect spot, hitting it over and over.
Reinn started up a purr, the vibration adding to the pleasure.
“You like that?” he asked, meeting her thrusts with his own.
She did. She did very much.
Too much.
She was going to come.
Once her breathing turned into short, shallow pants, Reinn’s hand on her back tightened. “I know you’re a screamer, but we cannot let anyone hear you. Your scent is tempting enough to follow.”
She closed her eyes, trying to keep her mouth closed, but it was a losing battle.
“Bite me if you must,” he said. “I can take it.”
The wave crested and she clamped down on the bit of skin she could find on his neck, right on the side and above the collar of his cloak.
He swore and hissed, grunted and thrust, but held her still and safe as she rode it out.
When it was over, she turned into mush, her body slumping.
“I’ve got you, I’ve got you,” he cooed, rubbing her back. “You’re so perfect, you’re a dream.”
Fern sniffed, the reprieve temporary, for her insides still ached.
It wasn’t enough.
“Reinn…”
“I know. You’ve done such a good job waiting for me. We’re almost there. Just around this bend.”
In her mind—the lucid parts of it, anyway—she knew it had probably been less than a couple of minutes before they pulled off the road onto a small trail most travelers would have missed.
But for the rest of her, the parts so delirious with heat she could only think of one thing—well, two things—assumed it had been hours.
Sitting as she was, Fern did not see the small clearing appear before them, but she did feel them slow down. And she heard them breathe sighs of relief.
Eidan dismounted quickly, grabbing bags and taking out the bedrolls while Reinn took her chin, raising her face to look at his.
“I know you are in pain,” he started slowly, staring straight into her eyes. His own were thin circles of gold at the edge of dilated pupils.
“And Eidan and I would be honored to help you through it. But you must tell us now that you want this. Want us. Or what you don’t want. You’re still Fern under this heat. Not an omega, but Fern. What does she think?”
