MYAIR: Boy fuck you! I

I laughed and thought about what I wanted to say next. This was really all we have been doing since we talked that night. It was cool and all but fuck it. I was about to throw caution to the wind.

ME: If you want some dick just say that.

I nervously watched for the lil bubble to pop up. I was about to give up when I saw them going.

MYAIR: You can bring me some food.

ME: Say less…

Sending Titan a text, I told him to grab her something as well. While I waited, I thought about where me and her were right now. If I was being real with myself, I missed her. Not the sex even though I wouldn’t mind sliding in that shit again, but this. Talking shit, joking, just able to be with each other. The problem was, the more we did it, the more we did this, the easier it was to forget why we wasn’t together. That shit was dangerous. I’ve already forgiven her, trusting her again was where I struggled. I didn’t know how to be with her without wondering if one wrong move would send her running. The door opened and Titan got in interrupting my thoughts.

“Damn, what took you so long?”

“Your food was damn near done when you told me to grab your girl something.”

“Man, we just friends. That’s not my girl.”

“Okay.” He said that shit as if he knew I was lying.

“Nigga, drive!” He laughed as he pulled off towards her hotel. I scrolled my phone trying to think about everything, but Ariyah. That didn’t work since it didn’t take us long for us to get to her. Getting out, I grabbed the bags and headed inside. Titan stayed behind once I got on the elevator. When I reached the door, I closed my eyes before knocking. Ariyah opened the door excitedly causing me to smirk.

“You that happy for some food, or you missed me?”

“Maybe it was a little bit of both.” Accepting that answer, I walked inside and sat on the couch. I looked around the room as she began taking our food out of the bags. “I thought you was supposed to be eating healthy?” I shrugged my shoulders.

“I’m always doing something I don’t have no business.” She looked up at me, but she didn’t respond. “So, this is what you’re calling home,” I said hoping to clear the tension in the room.

“For now. I don’t have anywhere else to go.” For some reason, that bothered me hearing that.

“You could’ve-…” I stopped myself from telling her she could’ve stayed with me. That’s exactly where I wasn’t ready to be.

“I could’ve what?”

“Got you a better hotel. You won your fight, Blinky. You not broke no more.”

“Okay.”

“Okay, what?” Now we just sounded dumb. We both were scared to say something not knowing how the other person was going to react.

“Okay, I’m learning to mind my damn business.”

“Since when?”

“Since I started my new ministry.”

“Was this before or after you slapped your lil sister?”

“That was before I was fully ordained.” We both fell out laughing. We both knew if there wasn’t history attached; she would have drug Briana all over that house. We started eating, and I couldn’t help myself. Reaching over, I grabbed a handful of her fries.

“Get your own fat ass. You could have ordered you some.”

“Like you said, I’m not supposed to be eating all that shit. I’m in training.” She looked at me confused.

“You eating it though, your ass just not buying it.”

“Did you give me some money back and I’m not aware?”
