“No, thank you. I’ve got it.” No one else has ever handled my stuff, and not only as my client but
as a Dominant, it would be unimaginable for him to help me now.
Besides, I need this time to think, to suss through my feelings on what’s about to happen. I want to
keep him happy, but I want to keep my professionalism. It’s not like he’s asking me to break the law.
He’s not asking for anything illegal like a happy ending.
More than likely, he’s just using this stupid bet as a way to gain some ground over me. But why, I
don’t know. I’ll be more than willing to play with him, to let him be the sexy doctor. Why does he
need this bet? Why does he need me to debase myself in this way?
I look over at the massage benches, my heart in my throat. I don’t want to do this. Every part of me
screams not to. But even louder, I have the need to please Master Aiden. Well, anybody really, but
more so him. I never want him to be upset with me, and I worry that withdrawing from the bet will
make him upset.
But I can’t. I’d rather take his censure than to go against my morals. “I can’t do this.”
Pausing, he stares up at me, his head tilted to the side. “Can’t massage me or can’t hurt me?”
“Hurt you. I know I said yes to that stupid bet, but I just can’t. I take my Hippocratic Oath
seriously.”
As he reaches out to caress my face, I lean into it, needing to know that we’re okay.
“I respect your decision.”
The words bounce around in my brain for a moment, unsure if I’m actually hearing him correctly.
“But… aren’t you upset with me?”
“And? So what? Just because I don’t get my way doesn’t mean you have to cater to my whims.
That’s now how negotiations work. If you said you were uncomfortable when I asked you to hurt me, I
would have withdrawn and figured out some other way to play with you. Only predators get mad if
you don’t cater to their whims. And despite what a lot of Black Light members now think of me
because of our negative interaction, I’m not a predator. I’m an asshole, and I’ll be the first to admit it,
but I’m not a predator.”
“I wasn’t trying to imply…”
“Oh, I know you weren’t,” he teases, his lips twisting into a wry smile. “We would be having a
much different conversation if you were."
“I just don’t want you to be upset.”
