“Lorenzo?” He scoffs. “Are you close with him or something?”

“No. I just met him tonight.”

“You were kissing a man you just met tonight?”

“It’s not my fault you brought this part of me out. The part that wants to experience life. I needed to know what kissing another man felt like. I needed to know if I only wanted to be touched or…”

He quirks an eyebrow. “Or?”

“Or if I wanted to be touched by you.”

“And?” He steps closer to me. The air is hard to breathe in. And yet, I’m right where I want to be.

“And I realized that I only want to be touched by you.”

“You shouldn’t tell me that. It’s a dangerous thing to say.”

“I know. But it’s the truth. I always asked you to open up to me. How fair would it be if I didn’t let you in myself?” I gasp when my back hits the wall. Dante has me cornered. “What are you going to do about what I just said?”

“I shouldn’t do anything. I should just back away. I let you go for a reason. I can’t bring you back into my life, Sienna. You’re dangerous for me.”

“How am I dangerous?” I breathe out.

He lowers his lips to my ear. “Because you were my weakness from the first moment I saw you.”

I arch into him. “Please.”

“You need me still?”

“I do. I haven’t stopped thinking about you all week. I was upset you let me go. But I can’t be your prisoner any longer. I just can’t.”

“I don’t want you to be my prisoner either.” His hands grip my hips and it’s like all the weight I had been carrying this past week disappears.

“So what do we do then?”

“I noticed that Gabriel never came to my house to pay me a visit.”

“That’s because he doesn’t know where you live,” I say.

“I know. Which means you didn’t tell him where I live. Why didn’t you?”

I look into Dante’s dark eyes. His wild, dark eyes that have consumed me so much. And before I can stop myself, I stand on my tiptoes and I kiss him with everything I have inside of me.

Dante kisses me right back, pressing me into the wall. My body molds with his like it was always meant to be. This kiss is perfection. Hot and passionate. No awkwardness. No sloppiness. Just a heated, perfect kiss.

It’s Dante I want to be with. I know that for a fact after kissing Lorenzo.

But how can I be with the man who kidnapped me? My mom would never allow it. Gabriel wants Dante dead.

I’m the one to pull back from the kiss. “What do we do?”

“I want to take you back home with me.”

“I can’t be your prisoner, Dante.”

“Not as my prisoner. I won’t hold you prisoner. I just want you.”

“But you never wanted a weakness.”
