“If there’s a splinter on the fence rails or in their stalls, their asses will always find it.”
They worked in tandem as they had every day on the ranch, but this was the first time they exchanged sweet kisses between tasks. It sure made the process faster and sweeter. Owen’s anticipation had been building since they left Tyler’s cabin, and it reached the flashpoint by the time they shut and locked the door behind them.
Outerwear and boots went flying, and their clothes soon followed until only their underwear remained. Owen wasn’t sure if they should head to the bed or sofa, so he let Tyler take the lead. He ended up on the sofa with Tyler straddling his thighs. A shiver shook his frame, and Owen wrapped the throw blanket around his shoulders. Tyler raked his fingers down Owen’s chest but stopped at his underwear, a pair of navy briefs instead of loose boxers like he’d worn the previous day.
“Did you wear these because you’re worried your escape-artist dick will make me uncomfortable?”
“Nope,” Owen replied, but Tyler didn’t look convinced. “I need to do laundry.”
“Today?”
Owen shook his head. “I have more important things to do.”
“Yeah? Like watch football?”
“Yes,” Owen replied. “That’s one F word. Food is another. I have leftover chili at my place. Figured we could reheat it for dinner tonight.”
“Mmm. Sounds perfect,” Tyler said. “Anything else you plan to do that starts with F?”
“Frot.” Owen tugged him closer until there was no room between them. “Let me show you.”
He gripped Tyler’s ass and rocked his hips forward so their erections rubbed against each other through their underwear. Tyler placed his hands on Owen’s shoulders and let his head fall back. Owen pulled Tyler’s hips into him a few more times, demonstrating the art of frotting before encouraging him to take over. It took a few thrusts, but Tyler caught on quickly and rode them both to climax.
“Another sticky mess,” Tyler said after collapsing against his chest.
Owen nuzzled his nose against Ty’s neck. “I should’ve brought extra underwear over.”
“Or we could skip them altogether.”
“Are you sure?”
Tyler raised his head and looked at him with sated brown eyes. “I’m positive.” He stood up from Owen’s lap and pushed his underwear down his legs. His release glistened on his lower abdomen, dark curls, and his softening cock. Owen stood up and followed Tyler’s lead. They stared at one another for several seconds until they both shivered from the chill.
“Let’s get cleaned up and back under the blanket,” Owen said.
The shower wasn’t big enough for both of them, so they opted to clean off with wet washcloths before toweling dry. They ended up horizontal on the couch, wrapped in a blanket and each other. Tyler’s bare flesh against him was the most incredible feeling.
“I’m going to get hard again once I recover,” Owen admitted.
Tyler moaned softly. “And we’ll do that frotting thing naked.”
And that was how Owen spent the best day of his life.
Tyler sat across from Owen in a coffee shop on Wednesday afternoon. They’d dropped Keegan off for his therapy session and walked the short distance to A Whole Latte Love. Tyler was obsessed with their coffee drinks, and Owen loved that they were named after rock bands or hit songs. It was the perfect place for them to hang out and chat for an hour if they couldn’t be alone and naked, which was how they’d spent the previous four nights.
Owen lifted his second cup of Smashing Pumpkins Spice to his mouth, drawing Tyler’s attention to the long, tan fingers wrapped around the white mug. That triggered thoughts of the recent locations those digits had explored on Tyler’s body—places that started to react in public. He forced his gaze and thoughts elsewhere, but they only drifted to the thick, tan forearms that Owen’s rolled-up sleeves put on display. Tyler had watched those same muscles flex and move when Owen’s hand worked up and down his—
“You’re staring,” Owen whispered.
Tyler snapped his gaze up to meet twinkling blue eyes. Owen knew exactly where his mind had gone, and he loved every minute of it. Heat crept up his neck, and Tyler turned his head to look out the window. It was one thing to do or say whatever came to mind in the privacy of their cabins, but it wasn’t safe to act so carelessly in public.
“Hey,” Owen said, snagging his attention once more. The light in his eyes had dimmed with concern. “It wasn’t a complaint, Ty.”
He shook his head and searched for the right words. “I know. It’s just my brain has been a little…um…fixated on certain things the past few days.”
The left side of Owen’s mouth lifted in a wry smile as he set his mug down and leaned forward. “Sounds interesting. Tell me more.”
Tyler snorted and rolled his eyes. “You sound like a therapist.” He leaned forward, too, and lowered his voice. “I’m not looking to cure my predicament.” But he wouldn’t mind stretching out naked on the couch for other reasons. “I just need to manage my thoughts and reactions a little better. I’ve been acting impulsive lately.” And that reminded Tyler of the times he wasn’t in control of his life, and it hurt to remember the colossal ways he’d screwed up.
