“Sorry, man.” He shrugged his shoulders. “Kids.”

The force pushed Pasha into me. Deeper. His body pressed flush against me. The thick lines of his cock ground into my ass. I was suddenly very aware of how solid it was. My breath hitched. I pushed back instinctively.

Just a little.

His hand went to my hips, steadying me. Music from somewhere on the boardwalk pulsed faintly through the air, and without thinking, I swayed.

A slow, subtle roll of my hips. Testing the waters foolishly. He didn’t move away. In fact, he matched my movements. Heat flooded my body so fast it made me dizzy. My clit throbbed, sharp and insistent, and I wondered wildly if there was a version of this I could share with the girls without them combusting on the spot.

The cars roared by again. This time they slowed until they came to a jarring stop. Right in front of us. My legs were rubber as I stepped forward. One foot. Then the other. I climbed into the front seat, heart pounding in my chest.

Breathe.

Pasha slid in beside me. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to the top of my head.

“It’s going to be fun. I promise.”

The attendant returned and lowered the metal safety bar, clicking it into lock mode. The echo was at least a tangible reminder that everything was going to be okay.

God, let it be okay.

I snuggled closer to Pasha, pressing my side into his. He wrapped his arm around me automatically. My hands clamped around the bar. I stared down at my knuckles, watching them grow white as the tension grew.

The smell of grease and metal filled my nose. The steady clank of the chain pulling carts upward created a rhythm beneath my ribs.

Heartbeat. Clank. Heartbeat Clank. As long as my heart was beating, I was alive. The car jolted forward. I squeezed my eyes shut.

“Open them for me, please,” Pasha said.

“I can’t, I’m scared,” I choked.

“Please. For me.”

His voice was needy and filled with something I couldn’t comprehend, but my lids fluttered open. The coaster’s ascent was slow, and as we climbed higher, I took in the panoramic view around me. I gasped—the sun was setting, and it stretched to the horizon, dipping into the shimmering waters of the ocean.

For a brief moment I was transfixed and so thankful I’d listened to him. It was beautiful up here, and my fear of heights was momentarily forgotten. Without warning, though, we reached the apex of the climb.

The world paused.

Frozen in time.

Then it dropped away beneath us.

A sickening weightlessness had my stomach lurching in protest, and a surge of panic threatened to engulf me. The ground receded into a blur of motion as we hurtled down the first dizzying drop. I screamed.

The wind tore the sound from my mouth as we dropped, the world blurring in streaks of color and sound. My heart hammered so loudly that I could hear nothing else. We twisted. Banked. Gravity lifted my body against the restraints.

Panic clawed up my throat, that metallic taste taking over. There was nowhere to run. No place to hide.

“I’m going to freak out,” I gasped. “Distract me. Now.”

I turned to him, burying my face against his chest. Without thinking—without allowing myself to analyze it—I grabbed his hand and placed it on my knee.

His breath hitched, and his grip on me tightened.

“Please,” I begged, lifting my face just enough to look into his golden-brown eyes.

With zero hesitation, he splayed his fingers between my legs and urged them apart. Something about the move had me moaning. It was aggressive and possessive all at the same time. The firm pressure of his palm anchored me in a way nothing had.
