The way his tongue claimed mine had me throwing caution to the wind and seeing blinding, brilliant colors behind my closed lids. His normal teasing and sweet demeanor disappeared as his lips demanded my all.
Trembling beneath the heat of it, I clung to him. My skin prickled, and my nipples tightened in my bra. His hand slid around my waist, and he lifted me. I wrapped my legs around him as he turned me, slamming my back against the car.
The cool metal bit into my skin through thin fabric, heightening everything. His kiss deepened, slow—not as frantic anymore. It was like he was memorizing me in some small way.
If I had the guts to share with the girls later, I would have told them, he was precise. Every touch was planned down to the last detail as if he were on stage, choreographing a sensual dance. His focus was solely on me, and he lit my body aflame.
Fingertips dug into my ass cheeks, trapping me against him. His cock was pressed tightly between my legs, and I never wanted anything more in my life. I wrapped my legs tighter and kissed him harder. He groaned—low and rough—and the sound vibrated straight through me.
Nothing had felt more right than his lips against mine. When he finally pulled back, he dragged in deep breaths while looking up at the sky. My lips were swollen and tender. Then his forehead rested against mine.
We breathed in tandem, both of us changed in some small way.
“Bella,” he whispered, softer this time.
And I knew with terrifying clarity that there might be consequences for this. I just didn’t care.
“Bella? You okay?”
I pushed the memory away and refocused. “I’m fine. But I wasn’t talking about being a Death Squad member. I’m speaking about your newly acquired membership to a certain club.”
“Ah, now I’m on the same page. But you should know it’s all part of the natural progression.”
“Uh-huh, but I thought you were different.”
“Sorry,” he offered with a mischievous grin. “I lived such a boring life before, and while I’m not as wild as, let’s say, your brother, I’m enjoying myself.”
“Makes sense, I suppose. If Hannah’s personality inside the bedroom resembled anything like her outside one, it makes a lot of sense.”
I waited for him to say something about that part of his relationship. It was weird. I knew I could ask my girls about those types of intricacies, but somehow knowing the men they were with so personally made it awkward.
Since in so many ways they were brothers to me, it was weird. And though Pasha sometimes teased me and treated me like a little sister, there were many times when he didn’t. Like now.
“Was it?” I prodded.
“Are you asking me about my sex life pre-club membership? My post one is so much more entertaining,” he teased, throwing his head back.
“You’re impossible,” I said, throwing one of my pillows at him. “What are you doing here?”
“Thought maybe we could watch a movie, something chill.”
“A movie?”
“Yeah, you know it’s something that is typically played on a TV screen. There’s usually popcorn and snacks. Some people venture out of the house to watch them in a theater. But I was thinking we could catch something here. Unless you’re a scaredy cat.”
Damn, he knew I hated those words. Mostly because when it was uttered, it was like a challenge. It drove me to prove I wasn’t. A year ago, he’d discovered that if he used it, it pushed me outside my tried-and-true boundaries I liked to keep.
With the evolution of our lives, meeting the girls and growing closer to them, I’d started feeling like I was in a rut. Everyone had found ways to move on, to find love, and to live. I secretly felt like Pasha and Marcel were in cahoots. Trying new things was a central theme to every one of my sessions with Marcel these days.
“If only the princess in the Crimson Tower wasn’t a scaredy—” he crooned at Phineas before I cut him off.
“What movie and where?” It beat sitting in my room on a Friday night alone. Again.
“Shit, I didn’t think about that. They’re using the media room tonight. My room?” He ran his hand up the back of his head as he looked lost in thought.
My stomach flipped. “Whatever will the crew think if they find out?” I joked.
“Depends on who finds us. Bash would kill me outright, no questions asked. Kinsley would have our wedding planned probably to coincide with Marcel’s and the rest might make me jump through hoops to prove I’m worthy. Good thing for me, we’re just friends.”
