“I have no idea,” Sebastian tells me.
There was only one copy, and it was on the flash drive in my purse. Setting my tea on the table, I slip off the blanket and check my purse.
“It’s gone.” I drop my purse on the floor. “He must have gotten it somehow.”
I think back to when I was in the break room. I had left my purse on the couch unattended while I spoke to Addison and Tabitha. Anyone could have gone in it and taken the drive.
“I’m going to help you get out of this,” I resolve. “I don’t know how yet, but we’re getting you out of this, Sebastian.”
He looks at me with hope in his eyes. I will do it, I’m going to figure out a plan to get him out of this contract. I move back to the couch. Instead of slipping back under the blanket and snuggling him, I sit on his lap and straddle him.
My hands feel tiny around his face as they cup him.
“I’m going to help you,” I kiss his forehead.
“But first,” his nose next.
“I’m going to fuck you.” I kiss his lips as I reach between us and unbutton his pants. I stroke his cock between us as I kiss him deeply, I try to put all my feelings for him into that kiss. When he’s nice and hard for me, I sink down onto him.
We groan together as he fills me. I fuck him slowly, intimately, showing him my feelings through my kisses and how I move on him. My heart feels full as we look at each other, and I hold back the tears that are threatening to spill over.
After a while, Sebastian lifts me slightly and thrusts up into me. He keeps a slow pace, but he sets a hard thrust. I orgasm around him as he slips his knot inside me.
Curling against his chest, we wait out his knot in silence. Sebastian strokes my hair until I fall asleep in his lap.
Chapter 29
“Flora…” I burrow in deeper to Sebastian’s warm chest, refusing to wake up. Even though my thighs burned from straddling him for so long.
“I promise you’re going to want to see this.”
His thumb strokes my lower back, where he has a grip on my ass cheek. I blink up at him, a frown on my face.
“You are so adorable when you wake up grumpy.” Sebastian kisses my nose, before shoving his phone in my face. It takes me a second to focus on what’s in front of me.
“What am I looking at?” I ask, leaning back and rubbing my eyes.
“It’s the stats from our song. I know we didn’t want it out there… but maybe we were wrong.”
What? I take his phone from him and look at it properly.
“Holy shit…” I’m in awe. The numbers are through the roof. I switch to his browser, doing some searching.
“We’re number one on all the charts,” he answers my questions for me. “We’ve made history. The first song to ever be released featuring both a Monster and a Human.”
I chew on my lip, a slow grin forming as I start to realize what this means. What this means for my career, too.
“Double the audience…” I think aloud.
“Exactly.” Sebastian agrees. “People are listening to it, whether or not they support the cause. They’re listening to it out of curiosity.”
“Do you think they won’t like it then..?” I ask, worried that we were going to be some sort of gimmick.
“No, Sunshine. That’s why they’re listening to it in the first place, sure. But the reviews are good so far. People like it.”
I squeal with joy, hopping up and dancing for joy. I’m sure that I look incredibly dorky, but Sebastian grins at me like I’m the light of his life.
“Now we can actually celebrate,” he tells me. “It’s 9 am, but I can order us breakfast and make mimosas.”
