On the walk back to the arena, I listen in on Luna and Connor’s conversation. He’s telling her some story about a dance mishap he had in New York, and they're both laughing at what he went through.

The more I see them together, the more I understand why she likes him. He’s definitely growing on me, and after studying his body language tonight whenever they danced together, it’s exactly what Luna said it was. They really are just friends. Tonight, all his flirting was directed at men.

When we reach my SUV, I unlock it, and Connor gets in the back seat. Walking to the other side, I open the passenger door for Luna, and when her boot heel gets caught, I immediately catch her before she falls.

My hands accidentally hike up her dress in the process, and before I know it, her thong-clad ass is pressed tight against me while my hands are splayed against her bare stomach.

Every breath locks in my lungs as neither one of us moves.

Her breath leaves in short pants, and I harden against her.

Fuck.

“Are you okay?” I finally whisper in her ear.

“Define okay,” she rasps, shifting slightly, causing me to grip her harder to stop the moan that wants to erupt. “Are you okay?” Her voice trembles, sending a shock wave of need through my body.

“Not even close,” I growl, slowly removing my hands and pushing down her dress, but not before I see the pink lace of her thong just begging me to remove it with my teeth.

Clamping my jaw shut, I help her in the SUV this time, avoiding ass touching at all costs before I completely lose my shit altogether.

I climb in and see Connor on his phone, not even paying us the slightest bit of attention.

Shifting in my seat, I try to get comfortable with a painfully hard cock that doesn’t want to forget that just seconds ago it had Luna’s tempting ass pressed against it. I’m likely never to forget it either.

Starting the engine, I head in the direction of Crystal Isle. The drive back is silent, and that’s fine with me. I don’t think I have any strength left in me to hold even the slightest conversation.

My thoughts are loud enough on their own. Not to mention the sexual tension that’s so heavy between us right now…I’m surprised the windows haven’t shattered from the pressure.

I sneak a glance, and her legs are crossed tightly as she clutches her purse in her hand like her life depends on it. She’s pressing her lips together as she stares out the window.

If her thoughts are anything like mine, she won’t be going to sleep anytime soon when she gets home.

When we near the city limits, I hand Luna my phone.

“Can you enter your address for me?”

I pull her out of her thoughts as she turns to me. She’s a little dazed and flushed, and I would do anything right about now to know what she was thinking about.

“Sure,” she says, taking my phone. She enters her address, and it connects to my CarPlay, guiding me to her place.

A few minutes later, I pull into an apartment complex and park. It’s a nice place with several painted units in various beachy colors. I note that hers is a pale pink.

Of course it would have to be the same color as her thong to bring me right back to that moment.

Like I needed the reminder. It’s all I can think about.

“Thanks for the ride, Cayden,” Connor says, getting out of the vehicle. “It’s been…interesting,” he laughs.

“No problem,” I chuckle. “Have a safe flight back to New York. If you ever want to go to a Devils game, let me know. I have connections there.”

“I might just take you up on that offer,” he grins, shutting the door.

“Thanks again for the ride,” Luna says, taking off my jacket and setting it in the back seat.

I nod, not trusting myself to say something I shouldn’t. My emotions are all over the place, and I need to get a clear head about everything that went down tonight.

Her hand hesitates on the door handle before she turns to me.
