Cecilia had no idea what he meant since his mouth had already explored a fair amount of her skin, and she could only mewl with disappointment as his hand left her womanhood. Both hands had come to quickly bundle her nightgown and dressing gown and before she knew it, Archie bent his head, and she discovered exactly what he meant by tasting. Cecilia gasped loudly at the sensation of his mouth there, right there on her sensitive folds. Later she would wonder how she could not have thought at least of how he could seem to enjoy it, since the taste of her could surely not be as pleasant as the noises he made let on, but in that moment, she was lost for thought. There was only the panting and gasping as her body clenched in the most delightful way she had ever felt, that left her longing for a release. With a soft cry she climaxed and slumped in the chair, feeling sated and drowsy all of a sudden.

Slowly, as if regaining consciousness, she looked down herself, her naked body with the nightgown and dressing gown bundled around her waist, both her legs and her upper body bared completely to Archie that was still sitting between her legs. This was not her, Cecilia thought as she scrambled to sit up. She did not behave like this. And she had certainly not thought that the first time she slept with a man it would be in a chair!

As if Archie was able to read her mind, he stilled her with a large hand on her shoulder.

“You’re so beautiful, Cecilia. I cannot tell you how much I want you,” he murmured. He gently leaned forward to kiss her and some of Cecilia’s uneasiness disappeared. “Do you want me?” he whispered as he broke off the kiss and looked intently at her. There was a note in his eyes, as if he was afraid that she would say no, but who could ever have denied Lord Archie Montagu anything?

“In... in the bed, right?” Cecilia breathed and did not dare to look at him.

“If you would prefer that,” Archie murmured without moving.

“I... I would,” Cecilia gulped.

Truth be told, she did not know what she would have preferred. Archie smiled at her, a beaming smile of pure happiness, nothing of the teasing or wolfish grin from earlier. He slowly rose from the carpet, his legs a bit stiff, but he still extended a hand to help her up. Heavens, for how long had he been kneeling on the floor, taking care of her needs only? Even if she was nervous about being with him, she owed it to him for being so patient with her and taking such thorough care of her.

Cecilia stood as well and tried to adjust her clothes, but Archie simply gave a lop-sided smile and said:

“Don’t bother.”

He tucked at the ribbon of her dressing gown. It slid effortlessly down and pooled at her feet. The nightgown was a bit more challenging, but as soon as Archie had worked it down her hips, it fell to the floor as well. Cecilia did not dare look at herself. She wanted to cover her bosom and womanhood with her hands, but also felt that it would be beside the point. In only moments, they would be much more intimately connected than his eyes on her.

A catch in Archie’s breath made her look up. His eyes seemed to be simmering, or perhaps even smoldering. It seemed both a great compliment and at the same time, Cecilia could not help but wonder, exactly how many women he had looked at in this way. She tried to banish the thought again as she had been able to previously, told it to hide away as he gently took her hand and led her to the bed. He lightly nudged her to lie down and while she did, he untied the ribbon of his own dressing gown and slid out of it.

Cecilia could not help but stare. She knew that men were built differently than women and yet at the moment the contrast seemed much starker than she had ever been able to imagine. Where her body was round and soft, his was flat and hard. She dared a glance down his torso to the point between his legs. Cecilia gulped and quickly looked away. It seemed impossible that it would be able to fit inside of her.

Archie crawled into the bed and gently lay on top of her, holding his weight on his arms. He tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear as he tried to catch her eyes.

“Still nervous?” he mumbled as he bent to kiss her shoulder.

Cecilia nodded. She could feel his hard length against her thigh. In a moment it would be inside of her. Just as it had with so many other women. Just as his tongue had. A moment earlier she had been able to forget all about where it had been previously. How many women he had brought to climax in that manner. She tried to gulp as she felt nausea prick in the back of her throat.

“Do you... do you need me to do anything?” she asked to distract herself.

Her sisters had talked of stroking and even hinted at licking a man’s... manhood. She was not certain what to call it. But Archie smiled and shook his head and Cecilia could not help but feel relieved that he had not demanded of her that she licked him as he had licked her.

“No, I think tonight it will be best that you just lie back and relax.”

Cecilia nodded again.

“Are you ready?”

Again, a nod. Cecilia had no air left in her lungs to speak. She felt him gently nudge her legs apart with his knee and then felt him at her entrance. She instinctively clenched her inner muscles.

“Relax,” Archie purred close to her ear.

“I am relaxed,” Cecilia tried to assure him.

“You’re not.” Archie rose slightly on his arms to look down at her.

“Just try it, please. Perhaps I’ll be able to relax... once you’re... inside.” Even as she said the words, she felt how her body tensed even more. Not just the muscles between her legs, but her legs and her shoulders as well. Perhaps even her arms and the muscles in her jaw.

Archie had to feel it too, because he rolled off her and lay on his side close to her and let out a frustrated sound. Cecilia could feel the tears prickle behind her eyes. She clenched her hands. She would not cry again. Not like yesterday. They had to be able to do this. She had to be able to do this. Otherwise, he would lose interest in her much too quickly.

“We can try again,” she breathed in a quivering voice. She gulped several times to be rid of the lump in her throat, but it only seemed to grow.

Archie turned on his side and gently pulled her against him. It was an odd sort of embrace with her side pressed to his. After a minute or more, Cecilia turned on her side to lie with her back against his front and felt how they fitted together this way. The duvet had been bundled at the foot of the bed; Archie managed to gain hold of it with his feet and work it far enough up his legs that he could reach it with a hand and pull it up to cover both of them. He seemed reluctant to let her go, which made a warmth spread inside of her.

She was uncertain for how long they were lying like this, but she had become drowsy when he gently nuzzled her neck with his nose and mouth and mumbled against her skin:
