"James."

"The man who betrayed us."

He smiled sadly.

"The lighthouse keeper."

Everyone stared at him.

Scott blinked.

"A lighthouse keeper?"

Nathan nodded.

"He wasn't just a lighthouse keeper."

"He watched that stretch of coast for forty-three years."

"He knew every tide."

"Every reef."

"Every hidden inlet."

Ward folded his arms.

"And he helped James."

Nathan smiled.

"He saved our lives."

Hazel frowned.

"What happened to him?"

Nathan's expression darkened.

"I don't know."

"I never saw him again."

"But James trusted him more than anyone."

Storm looked toward the logbook.

"So 'old friend'..."

Nathan nodded.

"I think James was going to meet him."
