Storm felt it immediately.

She closed her eyes for a second.

Then looked toward the sky.

"Weather's changing."

Ward looked up.

"It still looks clear."

"It does."

Ben smiled.

"The ocean told you first."

Storm looked at him.

"She usually does."

As darkness settled over the Pacific...

Sea Whisper continued south beneath a blanket of stars.

Far beyond the reach of her lights...

The trawler's engines came to life.

Not fast.

Not aggressively.

Just enough to close the distance by another mile.

The older man lowered his binoculars.

"They're paying attention."

The younger man nodded.

"So are we."

The older man smiled.

"Good."

He looked toward the elegant white yacht gliding through the moonlit water.

"Every captain has a weakness."

The younger man asked,

"You think this one does?"

The older man answered without hesitation.

"She does."
