Her eyes fell on the screen, and for a while, she didn't say shit.
“Damn. They posted it already?”
I slowly lowered my phone.
“That’s what the fuck you got from this?”
“What you want me to say?”
“Maybe why the fuck my pregnant wife is on the internet slapping the shit out of somebody!”
“She deserved it.”
“I don’t give a fuck about Alexia getting slapped!”
Sianni blinked, and I took a breath, lowering my voice.
“That bitch could've got slapped ten more times for all I care. I'm talking about you.”
“I’m fine.”
“And what if you wasn’t?”
Her lips pressed together.
“What if that shit had gone another way, Sianni?”
“Kyrie—”
“Nawl, ma. Hear me.”
I stepped closer, but the second I got in front of her, some of the anger drained out of me. My hands went to her waist before I could stop them.
“You got my baby in you.”
“I know.”
“You could've fell. She could've hit you in your stomach. Somebody could've jumped in that shit. You don't know what the fuck people gon’ do when they mad.”
“I know.”
“Then why the fuck would you put yourself in that position?”
Her eyes narrowed.
“I didn't go there to fight.”
I stared at her.
“You slapped her.”
“Because that bitch said some fucked-up shit.”
“So, you slapped her?”
“Hell yeah.”
I closed my eyes. This fucking woman.
