One of his hands slipped beneath my shirt and settled over my stomach, rubbing slow circles.

“My baby good?”

I looked back over my shoulder.

“Our baby.”

He hummed against my neck before pressing a soft kiss beneath my ear.

“I know what I said.”

I rolled my eyes.

“You so extra.”

“And you still leaving.”

Turning in his arms, I looped mine around his neck.

“You acting like I ain't coming back.”

“You leaving me,” he said, like that alone explained everything.

I searched his face, trying not to smile. The man looked dead serious.

“For three days.”

“Seventy-two hours.”

I blinked.

“You already counting?”

“Been counting.”

That did it. I laughed, shaking my head.

“Kyrie.”

“I'm just saying.”

“It’s a girls’ trip.”

“And?”

“You not invited.”

His lips twitched.

“Y’all lucky.”

I narrowed my eyes.

“Excuse me?”

“’Cause I'd be right there with you. Watching everything.”

“I know you would.”
