“Nadia.”
Tex stepped aside, indicating that I should take a seat in the booth before him, then I felt the cushion shift slightly as he sat down beside me. His thigh was a hard warm line, pressed against mine. I fought the urge to place my hand on it by turning to face the table. Ethan was watching everything with amusement, but Grey had his arms crossed on the table.
“So.” I shook my head and forced myself to smile. “How do we do this?”
The others went to reply, but Grey cut them off.
“You tell us what you want and don’t want to happen,” he said, staring at me intently. “What your limits are. Some things you might love, some you might hate, and some things you might be OK with in certain circumstances. The men in your life before? They might’ve ignored everything you had to say about sex, but us?” Was the look he gave his pack one of confirmation or a warning? “If we’re to help you, we need to know about every single one of your fantasies.”
This was what I had been working towards. To ask for what I wanted and have someone listen to me, but still, that feeling to stay quiet, to just put up with whatever my partners dished out, rose up, ready to silence me. Instead, I took a sip of my wine, savouring the dry, flinty taste before swallowing.
“Alright, where do you want me to start?”
Chapter 7
Tex
On my lap, that’s where, I wanted to reply, but a grim look from Grey kept me from saying anything. He’d had a few words with us as we waited what felt like an eternity for my mate to arrive.
“This isn’t the way we’re supposed to do things,” he’d said. I had no freaking idea where he was getting that from. “You’re supposed to talk through limits when everyone is clear headed, calm, and not in a state of arousal.”
Not sure when that was supposed to happen, because the wolf and I were of the same mind the moment we saw Nadia. Mate, knot, claim, that was the refrain that went through my head whenever I was around her, and that would never change. I said as much to Grey.
“Perhaps with what you’re comfortable with,” Grey told Nadia in a far gentler tone that he’d ever used with me. “You’ve obviously had to deal with dickheads who aren’t interested in foreplay, but we need to establish what is a turn on or a turn off.”
“Right.”
I looked down to see Nadia’s hands were held in a tight ball in her lap. Her scent was confusing, sweet and acrid in turns. Reaching out, grabbing one hand and forcing it to relax as I held it, was as natural as breathing, but then she had to give me a grateful look. All I could hope was she was feeling the same kind of relief as my thumb rubbed across her knuckles.
“Oral sex,” Grey said, like he was putting in an order of timber with a supplier. “Being fingered, anal—”
“Fuck, Grey, shut up,” Ethan hissed at him, then looked meaningfully at Nadia.
She was starting to move restively in her seat, which had me gripping her hand tighter, but then I took a deep breath in and realised why. Sweet, syrupy omega scent was like a firm hand wrapping around my knot and giving it a squeeze.
Fuck…
“Oral sex is…” She swallowed hard. “Good. Bloody hell.” Her back hit the seat, and she stared at the ceiling for a second. “Why am I talking to you guys about this?” Nadia’s focus shifted back to us. “Maybe because you’re strangers and it doesn’t matter what I say. We could all walk away and never see each other again.”
No, I could not, the wolf demanded I tell her, but we weren’t there yet.
“OK, you want to know?” That note of challenge in her voice was pure omega. They pushed their alphas, demanding they give their all. “Then yeah, I like oral sex, but only when a man makes it obvious he wants to be there. Not a couple of licks to get the job over and done with as quickly as possible. I assume you guys are put off when a girl spits out your cum like it’s something nasty?” I wouldn’t know. My whole life, I’d spent waiting for Nadia to walk into it, so there was no point messing with other women. “Well, a guy who’s not into it is just as much a turn off.”
“You want an eater.” Ethan’s smug smile had my fangs grinding together. He might use the golden boy bullshit on women in the pub, but Nadia wasn’t just some hook up. Fucker ran his tongue along his bottom lip to push home his message. “Someone who’s begging to come back for more because he likes the way you taste.”
She stared, momentarily hypnotised.
“Ah, yeah, that. What else did you say? Fingering?” She shrugged. “That will be the bare minimum if I’m going to take another knot.” I liked the way her eyes slid sideways, going straight for my crotch. I barely resisted the urge to put her hand over my knot, making clear it was ready and willing to serve her, but then her eyes flicked upwards. “Is that something you wanted to do again? I’m sorry, we didn’t establish that.”
“Anything that happened that day is on the table,” I rumbled. “You can assume that whatever you want, I’m down for.”
Her brows creased slightly as she peered at me, trying to work out if I was for real, but she’d find out.
“Well, while we’re being blunt, it wasn’t something I liked much before, but the stretch…” Now I was shifting in my seat. My cock was like a hound on a leash, straining to get to its prey. “That felt surprisingly good.”
“Because you were actually aroused then.” Grey was always in control, but his cool tone pissed me off even more right now. “Most of the nerve endings are in the entrance to the vagina.” Ethan snorted at the insanity of this impromptu anatomy lesson. “If you’re turned on, that stretch would register as pleasure rather than discomfort.”
“OK.” There was something brittle about Nadia as her elbows hit the table. She looked like she was negotiating a treaty of war, not our next sexual encounter. “Then yeah, if I’m turned on, that’s something I’d like to happen. Anal?” Every muscle in her body locked down tight. The change in her was subtle, but immediately apparent to someone who was watching her like a hawk. “No, that just hurts. I could barely take Grant, but what you two are packing? Absolutely not.”
