His finger enters my core while he strokes my bud, bringing me higher and higher until a bomb goes off inside me. On an inhale, I freeze, then scream as I go over the edge—to a pinnacle only he has ever taken me before. In my entire life, no one else made me feel so complete.

No one else ever will.

Now I want to feel him, naked, on top of me. My feet yank his jeans down his slim hips. Getting the message, he tugs them plus his black boxer briefs over his legs. Finally, he settles over my body.

My own legs wrap around his waist as my arms slide down his defined back to his ass. “Every inch of you belongs to me.”

“I live to serve you. Bring you pleasure.” His hand reaches down for my left ankle. “Be behind you to help you stand on your own two feet.” He kisses me, stealing all my breath away.

Before we can get down to business, I try to turn and hit the back of the sofa. I need more room. “Coop, let’s relocate to the bed where we have more space.”

“I’m not sure. Seems like I have you exactly where I want you. And I want you right this second.” Reaching down to his jeans on the floor, he grabs a packet, rips it open with his mouth, and rolls the condom over his straining cock.

Yet he doesn’t make another move. He waits for me to agree or demand we shift to the bed. He’s still giving me the power of choice. Could I love this man anymore?

“Since you’re so impatient, I’ll give in this time.” My hand plants on his muscular arm. “The next time, we’re going to be on the bed.”

“Hell yes!”

Without waiting a second, he thrusts into me, triggering explosions throughout my body. As he pumps into my welcoming heat, he kisses me with such love that my head spins. One tiny climax runs into another and an even bigger one. Coop drives into me with pounding abandon, and I come yet again with a scream that could be heard in the next county. Above me, he freezes then roars his completion.

I welcome his weight over me, rubbing his sweaty back.

He lifts his head. Panting, he murmurs, “That was one way to prove our love.”

“It sure was.” My lips seek his.

Who would’ve thought a girl from Gainesville—by way of a cult in Oklahoma—would end up in love with a rockstar?

But it isn’t the rockstar who has me. It’s Coop—the man behind the guitar. The one with the sharp mind, the quick wit, and the kind of empathy that saw me when nobody else did.

His fame doesn’t impress me.

Him?

He does.

Beneath his outer trappings, he’s the only man who I’d allow to control me. I’ll never trust any other soul with that kind of power.

Because he won’t.

He leans over me and kisses my cheek. Deep inside, a tingle of anticipation ripples. I struggle to extricate myself from the sofa. Standing over his droolworthy form, I say, “C’mon, Grandpa! We have to do that again!” I take off toward the bedroom.

His footsteps pound down the hallway behind me. “Believe me, that was only the appetizer course.”

In the bedroom, he proves it—slowly, thoroughly, like he has all the time in the world.

Maybe that’s the difference now.

We do.

EPILOGUE – COOP

Back in LA, I park the Range Rover outside the store Nese selected for the day’s outing. Before we get out, she says, “I love that sunglasses are your thing, like 007’s belt.”

“Which belonged to Darren.”

Her pierced eyebrow raises. “I know—he told me.” She swivels in my direction. “007 wears it to honor Darren.” She unbuckles her seatbelt. “Why did you start wearing sunglasses? They hide your gorgeous hazel eyes.”
