He did say sorry several times during the day, explaining what was wrong in vague detail, but something felt like it was bothering him too. I had initially told myself that once we saw the ruins I would hitch another ride back to the hostel except Ruwon was actually a nice and decent person. His mama had raised him well.
The ruins turned into dinner. There my suspicions were confirmed on who he was. A very famous Korean actor that I had seen several times with VI3E members. I had even seen one of his shows last year and loved it.
Ruwon was a complicated man, and while I was grateful for the company yesterday, I was a little shocked he wanted to spend the day with me again. Now that I knew who he was, I was starstruck.
Not too starstruck to kiss him, right?
I threw the blankets off me when my alarm rang again. Having the room to myself was heaven and I hoped no one else would be assigned to the room for the rest of my stay. It meant having a bathroom to myself and as much space as I needed.
It was seven fifty-five as I finished getting ready. Since Ruwon didn’t give me details of what we’d be doing, I brought a backpack with a few things like a towel and bathing suit along with a sweater because I wouldn’t be able to survive another ride freezing my ass off.
The hostel was quiet as I made my way to the front. The fresh morning air was a shock to me, it was colder than it had been the last few days. The sun was in my face and once my eyesight adjusted, I saw Ruwon leaning against his motorcycle like some eighties movie where the sexy popular guy dates the nerdy girl. Move over Molly Ringwald.
Goddamn, he’s sexy.
Today he was dressed more casually in jeans and a hoodie with a backward fucking hat.
Fuck me.
“Good morning,” he called out, walking to me. “You look beautiful.”
“Morning, I’m still half asleep.” I faked a yawn.
“I’m an early riser, but I wanted to make sure we had enough daylight,” he said, giving me a hug, kissing my forehead. “I’m glad you wore jeans. It’s colder today than yesterday, but it's supposed to heat up nicely.”
I raised my brow wondering what the hell we needed so much sunlight for.
“But first, let’s get a good breakfast,” he said, holding my hand as we walked to his motorcycle.
“Yes and a good coffee,” I said, throwing my sweater on.
“Of course,” he said, putting my helmet on. “Oh wait. You need a bathing suit.”
“I got it, along with a change of clothes,” I said, as he finished putting my helmet on.
“Perfect,” he said, taking off his hat, grabbing his own helmet and putting it on.
“So, are you going to tell me what we are going to do today?”
“It was supposed to be a surprise, but if you don’t like those then I can tell you,” he said, getting on the bike.
“Mmmmm.” I contemplated, as he helped me on the bike. “Fine, surprise me but if it sucks I’m going to be disappointed and demand a redo of the day.”
Ruwon laughed making me smile.
“Got it. I’ll try my best to not let the day suck,” he said, revving the engine. “Ready?”
“Let’s do it!” I yelled, as he took off.
The wind in my hair and absolutely no idea what was going to happen, made me feel alive again. It made me think of Levi and Matteo. I was starting to have a running theme of good days because of sexy guys and you know what? I wasn’t mad about it.
“Ruwon, this is amazing,” I said, swimming in the underwater cave he had taken me to. “I wanted to come to one of these, but was too afraid to do it.”
“Don’t like caves?” he said, swimming around me.
It was unfair how handsome he was all wet.
“Small spaces freak me out. I've seen the movie and don’t like how it ends,” I chuckled, looking around the big cave that freaked me out a little.
