I looked at the beautiful woman in my bed, stunned until everything came back to me.

“Sorry,” I mumbled, pushing my face into my pillow.

Once I heard the door to the bathroom close, I looked around the room, a little uneasy. I never let anyone stay with me, but Violeta was different and I didn’t know how I felt about that. It was just a fling, nothing serious, but dropping her off at the hostel didn’t sit right with me.

I wanted more time with her and I really liked her.

“Hey,” Violeta said, slipping into bed again.

I pulled her against me, kissing her nose before she laid her head on my chest.

“Good morning,” I said softly, not knowing how I would go about this. “Breakfast?”

“I’m starving,” she said, stretching against me.

I grinned, knowing we had burned a lot of calories in the middle of the night. We had a hard time keeping our hands off each other.

“I know this cute patisserie by the beach and maybe we can go take a swim after-wards,” I said, watching her get up. “There’s also this great restaurant that has the best seafood.”

Violeta bit her lip. “Um… maybe just breakfast.”

I was too damn eager.

“I leave tomorrow and I—”

“You don’t have to explain anything to me,” I said, attempting a smile even though disappointment threatened to destroy my mood. “I get it.”

She opened her mouth like she wanted to say something, closing it quickly and opening it again.

“Hey, you don’t owe me an explanation,” I said, getting up and walking over to her. “I had fun and I thought one more day would be great.”

She pursed her lips as she looked up at me. “I’m off to Budapest tomorrow.”

“It’s beautiful there,” I said, cupping her face. “I’ll give you my list of must-see places.”

“Ok,” she smiled shyly.

“Come on, I’m starving,” I said, smacking her ass, getting in once more squeeze before she put her clothes on.

I needed her to put clothes on before I fucked her again and we never left the house. My heart raced as I thought about last night and how I wanted just one more day, wondering if one day would have been enough. I finished getting ready first, sipping a glass of water while I waited for Violeta.

“Nae-saekki, we are going to the patisserie down the street if you care to join us.” My mother walked through the front door like she owned the place.

I mean I guess she did, but that wasn’t the point.

“Eomma,” I said, hoping like hell she left before Violeta came out, knowing a stern, ‘I told you so’ would embarrass me.

I kissed her cheek as she hugged me.

“So, what do you say? We were also thinking of hitting up some shops today,” she cupped my cheek. “I kind of feel bad about how we left things two days ago, but also, do I need to teach you manners again? Did the military make you forget—”

She stopped talking, looking over my shoulder in shock before she smiled.

“Buongiorno, Violeta,” she said, walking around me.

I turned around to see them embracing, Violeta’s cheeks bright red.

“Buongiorno,” Violeta replied.
