You’re both insane.
I already told you, Temperance. You cannot ruin us.
Tem processed his words, trying to figure out how she felt about them. Was he saying what she thought he was saying? That nothing she did—even something as wild as this—was worse than what the Drakon brothers had already done to themselves? It was unfathomable. But Tem was done questioning it. She was still turned on—even more so now that Caspen was here. And she wanted to come.
So Tem kept going.
She went slowly at first, tentatively, to see if Caspen would react. When he didn’t, she resumed her pace, teasing herself to the sight of his brother. Apollo kept going too. His strokes quickened, his eyes focused on her center, his chest shining with sweat.
My brother does not know how lucky he is.
Trust me, he knows.
Then he does not appreciate it. I would fuck you every day if you were mine.
Too bad I’m not yours.
Yet.
Fuck you.
I would like to.
When she didn’t answer, Apollo’s eyes narrowed.
Use him.
Tem’s jaw dropped. Did he mean what she thought he meant?
Before she could ask for clarification, Apollo said: Take his hand and touch yourself.
Hot anticipation shot through Tem. He was asking the impossible. There was no universe in which she would do that.
Use his hand, Temperance.
She couldn’t fathom it. It was something out of a dream—a fantasy she would indulge in during the late hours of the night, not something she would do in the banquet hall in front of everyone.
Use my brother. Do it.
Tem couldn’t think straight. As if in a trance, she reached for Caspen and took his hand in hers. The moment she did so, a twin wave of desire rushed from Caspen’s mind to hers. It was so strong that she closed her eyes, focusing on nothing but how fulfilled she felt, drowning in the ache of need. She felt alive here—she felt real. Tem pulled his hand between her legs, tilting her hips to touch his fingers to her wetness.
Nothing about this was normal.
Normal is worthless, Temperance. There is nothing normal about you.
Tem had no idea which brother said it. They were both in her mind, surrounding her—suffocating her.
Lick his fingers.
Tem did so, raising Caspen’s hand to her lips and sucking her own wetness off his fingers. It was a curious thing to taste herself. She’d only done so on someone else’s lips—never straight from Caspen’s fingers. It was a mirror of when he’d tried to taste her for the very first time, and she’d been too afraid to let him do it. How long ago that seemed now.
Fuck. I want to taste you.
Only Caspen gets to taste me.
A wave of annoyance flashed through Apollo’s mind.
Tem savored it, knowing she still held power over him. It was no small thing to deny a basilisk, especially one as powerful as Apollo. But Tem didn’t want him badly enough yet. She didn’t want him as much as he wanted her—and she didn’t know that she ever would.
