I burst into the laughter. The image of always-put-together Lochlan Calloway getting caught with his willy out by some little old lady is just too much.
And you just so happen to have a stash of ‘shine for such an occasion, right?
His response comes through a few seconds later.
Havok: Nah. Found some at the corner store. Better than money around these parts.
I shake my head and click on Lochlan’s message.
Lochlan: Exactly how attached are you to Kade? Scale of one to ten.
Meh. Solid six.
I smile, biting my lip. This back-and-forth banter is exciting. I should’ve texted with the guys sooner.
Lochlan: Good to know. I’m thinking I’ll tie him to a tree and leave him for the bears.
Not a fan of indecent exposure, huh?
Lochlan: That old bat was crazy. She nearly wacked my balls off.
Giggling, I send him a laughing emoji.
Lochlan: Miss you, sweetheart. Can’t wait to be home.
Miss you too. So much.
God, I really freaking do.
Havok: A six?! You wound me, baby.
Didn’t think your ego needed the truth.
Havok: And what’s the truth?
Too attached. The scale isn’t big enough to give an actual number.
Havok: Fuck. Just a few more days, Say. I can’t wait to get my hands on you.
My blood heats remembering all the ways he touched me.
Can’t wait.
I have no idea who I am right now, but I kinda like her. This wild, excited girl who’s pushing back the timid, shy version I haven’t quite shed. I want to feel. And if there’s one thing these guys do, it’s that. Whether it be happiness or anger or lust, I’ve had no shortage of emotions since meeting them.
“Surprise!” Kash shoulders my door open, his arms full of blankets and sheets. He’s out of breath but sporting the biggest grin. “We’re gonna build a fort.”
“Is that so?” I raise an eyebrow, locking my phone and placing it on the nightstand.
“Yep. Now move your cute ass so I can start the building process.”
Alrighty then.
Chapter Thirty-Six
Saylor
Approximately one hour later, Kash has assembled the fort to rival all forts. He explained—in painstaking detail—the proper way to tie your corners and the best fabric to use if you want to achieve optimal inside space with minimal droop in the middle. Several times, I thought about stabbing my eardrums with a pencil, but one look at his excited face made the whole lecture worth it. The little details—his hyperactivity, love of sugar, fear of creepy crawlies—those are the things I love most about him. He wouldn’t be Kash without them.
