It was only when my uncles

and aunts began to create

their own progeny

that my parents thought

to make me brothers

and sisters.

It was only when they met

their nieces and nephews

that they realized

they had made

a terrible mistake

with me.

I Was the First of My Kind

The children of Gods

were meant to be Gods.

This law was established

by Kronos in the infancy of his rule,

a reign that was born

after my own birth.

Other than my strange appearance,

I had shown no powers

all through my childhood.

No one knew then

that the way to bless

children with divine powers

was to determine their gifts

from the moment they were born.

It was Kronos who created

the ritual of blessing our children.
