Liam's gaze followed mine as though he had read my mind. “I didn’t want to mess up the perfection of your vision.”
It wasn’t a line—it was a simple act, one that wouldn’t mean anything to anyone else. But to me, it meant the world.
I had my arms around Liam’s neck and my mouth pressed to his in less than a heartbeat. There was not a moment’s hesitation before he responded, his arms wrapping around my waist to pull me so tightly against him I could feel his need pressing into my stomach. Our kiss crackled with the electricity that had buzzed between us all evening, and our tongues met, dancing and twisting as we devoured each other desperately.
In another heartbeat, Liam had me up against the wall, one hand above my head, the other still wrapped around me like he thought I was going to try to escape—I wasn’t. It was the last thing on my mind.
I was breathless when we finally pulled apart, my lips tingling as I looked up into his face. Liam was leaning over me, his gaze hazy with desire, his tongue coming out to taste his lips where mine had been. It was such a sexy sight, my chest felt tight. I reached up and pulled his glasses from his face, placing them on the entry table beside me.
Without the glasses, I could better see the strong lines of his face and jaw, the slight smile lines at the corners of his eyes, and the deep brown of his eyes. And I couldn’t help giggling.
“What?” he asked with a slight smile.
“It’s like Clark Kent transforming into Superman.”
Liam’s eyes widened for a moment, and then he snorted his laughter before kissing me again. “That might be the sexiest thing anyone has ever said to me.”
I giggled again, but the laughter became a sharp inhale when he bent his head to my neck to press feathery kisses to the skin there. Every inch of me tingled with my awareness of him. His hand came up and brushed an erect nipple pressing against the fabric of my bra, and I gasped at the bolt of pleasure that shot through me, my back arching, my chest pushing toward his palm.
Liam’s mouth returned to mine, and it was all I could do not to push him down right then and there on the carpet of the entryway.
“Bedroom?” he asked between desperate kisses.
I could only nod, a soft moan following as his hand inched up the outside of my thigh.
Undressed, Liam was far more than I had ever imagined of the quirky, sunny, slightly nerdy tech CEO. He had a swimmer’s body, all hard, defined muscle and corded strength. But despite all that, despite his obvious need, he was incredibly gentle as he pushed into me.
I gasped, nearly losing it in that simple movement, and I had to close my eyes and freeze for a moment until my orgasm backed away.
“Sorry,” I gasped. “It’s been a long time.”
“Me, too,” he managed, his own eyes squeezed shut. I didn’t think either of us would last very long.
After a moment, Liam began a slow rhythm, at least trying to slow things down. But he felt incredible as he pumped in and out, his length sliding against every nerve until I was gasping for air.
“God, this is amazing,” I groaned, my hands running over the hard muscles of his back as they shifted and moved under my palms.
“Tell me about it,” he managed, dropping his head to take a taut nipple into his mouth. A loud moan broke free of my throat, and I let my head fall back, lost in the sensations overcoming my body.
We grasped, fondled, devoured, losing ourselves in each other and the overwhelming pleasure as we writhed together.
I felt the tightening in my stomach, the rush in my ears, the heat like the crack of a lightning bolt as it rushed toward me. Wrapping both my legs around Liam’s waist, I tilted my pelvis and opened my hips so that he buried himself to the hilt on his next stroke.
That was all I needed to send me over the edge, and a cry ripped from my core, the crack of thunder blotting out every thought and sensation for a minute. The only thing I could hear was Liam’s own guttural shout and feel the way he pulsed within me, lost in his orgasm.
It took a long moment to float down, my body still buzzing and shivering, my chest rising and falling with rapid breath.
“Wow,” I finally said, meeting Liam’s eyes.
“Wow is right,” he replied.
And then we both started laughing.
