And he didn’t need telling twice—he wrapped his hand around his cock and aimed it at my entrance, slipping the other arm around me to pull me in close. I moaned as I felt him slide into me for the first time, my pussy still contracting from the orgasm he’d just give me. We both let out a deep sigh once he had fully entered me, the feeling of being this close again everything we needed it to be.
“Fuck,” he murmured as he began to slowly rock his hips back and forth against me. My eyes were still blurry, but that didn’t matter. I didn’t care what I could see, only what I could feel. And what I could feel was so perfect it made my head spin. I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him in as close as I could, and he moved his mouth to my neck once more, his hot breath on my skin as he fucked me right there on the hotel bed.
I hooked my ankles behind his back to draw him in even closer, needing to feel every inch of him inside of me. I pressed my head into his shoulder, inhaling the scent of him, mixed with the chlorine from the pool earlier—the way he had touched me beneath the water, I knew he would have fucked me right then and there if he’d had the chance, and that thought sent another jolt of arousal through my system.
I was pushing up against him as he thrust into me, our bodies moving in perfect unison as we took each other closer and closer to the edge. I needed to feel him come inside of me, I needed to feel him reach that moment of release and be sure I was the one who had gotten him there. I wanted him to want me as badly as I wanted him, because the way I felt right now, I knew I couldn’t live without him.
He began to move a little harder and faster, his breath coming out ragged against my ear. I was breathing quickly too, my heart racing in my chest as both of us got nearer and nearer the edge. He bit down on my earlobe lightly, tugging on it with his teeth, and the shock of pain transformed into pleasure as my body took it in. No matter how he touched me, my body reacted like it was seduction, already willing to give in to him.
“You feel incredible,” he murmured to me, his voice low and wanting. I could only let out a needy whine in return. I knew he was close, and I wanted to feel him finish inside of me. I needed it. That closeness that I only ever wanted to share with him, some part of me craved it more than anything in the world.
He pushed in deep one last time and held himself there as he tipped over the edge and into his orgasm, letting out a long groan of pleasure as he did so. The sensation matched with the sound was all it took to take me into my second orgasm, and I felt myself clenching around him, the pleasure almost too much as it flooded my entire system at once.
We both just held ourselves there for a long time, neither of us able to pull back or bring this to an end. Eventually, he turned his head to kiss me again, still plunged all the way inside of me, and I slipped my tongue into his mouth once more. I couldn’t be close enough to him, not if I tried—nothing seemed to pull the two of us near enough to each other, but I was sure as hell willing to keep giving it a go.
Finally, and with some reluctance, he pulled back, slipping down on to the bed beside me. He stretched his arm out, indicating that I should cuddle up with him. I immediately nestled against him, smiling.
“Silver’s going to be pissed we kicked her out of bed,” I remarked.
“It’s your birthday,” he reminded me. “You get to do whatever you want.”
“Oh, yeah!” I replied, raising my eyebrows. In all the stress, I had pretty much forgotten it was coming up at all.
He planted a kiss against my forehead and grinned.
“Happy birthday, Lily,” he told me. I closed my eyes and rested my head against his chest.
This might not have been how I pictured my birthday going this year. But I was sure it was going to be a good one.
CHAPTER 22
WARREN
––––––––
AS WE HEADED BACK UP to the hospital, I could tell she was a little worried.
I couldn’t blame her. She was likely concerned about the state her mother was going to be in when we got there. No matter how many times I tried to tell her she had nothing to worry about, that I was sure they were going to let her out and get her back on her feet as soon as they could, Lily had been antsy since we had left the motel this morning.
Last night had been a lot of fun, but she didn’t seem able to hang on to any of that feeling. I wished she would give herself a little more of a break from all of this, but I knew she wasn’t going to be able to relax until she had her mom home and where she belonged.
“Can you take Silver out for a walk?” she asked me as we climbed out of the car. “I don’t know if she’s going to be out yet.”
“Of course,” I replied, and she headed inside the hospital. I didn’t like being apart from her, especially not when I knew she was already struggling with a hard time, but I wasn’t going to try and push myself into the middle of what was going on with her and her mother. They had their own dynamic, and they didn’t need me stepping in and making it all about me.
But a few moments later, she and Diane emerged from the hospital—Diane in a wheelchairs, and Lily by her side, wheeling her slowly as though worried she might tip her mother out by accident.
“Lily, I’m fine,” her mother told her impatiently, shaking her head and smiling.
“They said you have to be careful,” Lily reminded her. “You can’t have another accident...”
“And if I do, I’m in the right place,” she shot back, and she turned just in time to see Silver bolting over to her. She laughed as the dog reached her, snuffling into her hand happily.
“I missed you too, honey,” she cooed, and Lily and I exchanged a look. I could see the relief written all over her face, and it meant a lot to me to see how much calmer she seemed now she had her mom where she wanted her. She might have preferred for this to happen the night before, but all that she really cared about was having her mother out and on her feet again.
“Now can we stop somewhere on the way back for food?” Diane asked as she slipped into the car.
“We should really get you home, Mom,” Lily replied, frowning. Diane pulled a face.
