“You don’t have to do that. I said you can stay as long as you want. If that means we have to get divorced instead, fuck it. It’s not like I have a line of men beating down my door to get married.”

“It won’t come to that. I’ll get the annulment.”

“Good to know my husband isn’t lacking in confidence.”

They both looked at each other for a second before laughing. Bobby would do what he’d promised, but he’d also make sure Gabriel’s parents knew the truth about how amazing their son was, and that if anyone should apologise, it should be them to him. He knew how he could do that, but he needed to give it some thought. Bobby didn’t have the right contacts for what he had in mind, but he knew a bossman who did.

It was Valentine’s Day, which also meant it was Bobby’s wedding day, or it was supposed to be. Instead, he was lying in bed, not wanting to get out of it. Thankfully, it was Saturday, so there was no reason for him to get up.

The week had gotten away from him, with work being busy. He was supposed to have been away for the next two weeks. Bobby had checked on the honeymoon booking, but Alex had already cancelled it and got a refund. How she’d done that, he wasn’t sure. Bobby had paid for the honeymoon, but he doubted he’d be seeing that money again.

Explaining the whole situation to his parents had been easier than he’d thought. After speaking to his brothers, they’d suggested he be honest about everything, so they didn’t hear it from Alex or Gabriel’s parents. They had been shocked to hear he was married to Gabriel, although that was nothing compared to what Ryan had said. He’d called him an irresponsible twat, which had hurt, and Martin hadn’t helped by reminding their big brother that their baby bro had gotten a husband before him. Martin had tried to poke his nose in and help with the annulment, but that was something he was sorting himself. He just wanted to get past this weekend, and then he’d file the papers. The idea of having filed for an annulment before his official wedding day felt wrong. He wasn’t sure why, but he’d get it moving next week. It could take anywhere between three to six months to complete.

Another reason he was still in bed was that his dick wouldn’t go down. He hadn’t been able to stop thinking about what Gabriel had said about being manhandled by a bigger guy. He’d watched some bisexual porn, and there was a massive, tattooed guy who had a dick the size of a tree trunk, and he’d folded a woman and another guy in half and pounded them. It had been hot, and he’d cum in less than two minutes. He’d watched bisexual porn before, but it was usually a woman being spit-roasted. This had been quite different, and every time he thought about it, his dick kept throbbing. Perhaps he could deal with things quickly. He moved his hand underneath the sheet and gripped his cock.

“Bobby, are you awake?” asked Gabriel softly through the door.

He jerked in surprise and quickly gathered the duvet so it would hide any obvious bulge.

“Come in.”

Gabriel opened the door and then stopped, looking at Bobby. Given how he’d rearranged the duvet, it was now by his waist, so his upper body was on display. Was Gabriel checking him out? And why was that making his dick throb even more? He was probably just thinking about the porn he’d watched. He might have been wanking more recently, but he hadn’t gotten laid in months. That’s why he was getting hard all the time. It was the only reasonable explanation.

“Did you want some breakfast, or are you going to the gym?” asked Gabriel.

“Not going to the gym today. Gonna have a lazy day.”

“Do you want me to make myself scarce?”

Bobby was surprised. “Why would I want you to do that? This is your home.”

“It’s your home as well, Bobby.”

His heart thumped harder at him saying that. How could he be so sweet and make it seem effortless? Bobby didn’t want to do anything today, but he also didn’t want to be on his own. Was that selfish of him? He asked Gabriel.

“Of course not. I’ll make breakfast, and we can see how the day goes. If you want to stay in here by yourself, I’ll just keep bringing you food.”

“Has anyone told you that you’re the perfect husband?”

Gabriel laughed before leaving. Bobby needed to pull his finger out of his arse and cook something one night. Gabriel had done all the cooking so far, which he seemed to like, and Bobby wouldn’t complain about the amazing food, which was always a high-protein and well-balanced meal. It explained why he was so shredded. Some guy was going to be very lucky one day to be the husband he deserved, not a drunken mistake in Vegas.

It was probably good that Gabriel wasn’t with anyone right now, or the guy might be put out about his boyfriend being married to someone else. They’d been making “husband” jokes all week, and it had been good to have a laugh. On Wednesday night, Bobby had returned to rugby practice and had it confirmed that his other “friends” had known about Dillon as well. There was no sign of his former best friend. Bobby hadn’t stayed for practice, and let the coach know he wouldn’t be back. He’d tried to persuade Bobby, as he was an excellent player, but when he’d explained the situation, the coach had understood and suggested some other clubs he might want to join. Bobby wasn’t sure. He’d loved being part of a team, but it felt tainted now.

Now he knew Gabriel was going to be around all day, Bobby got out of bed. His cock had softened. He went into the bathroom for a piss and to brush his teeth, and then he was going to shower, but he couldn’t stop thinking about whether Gabriel had been checking him out earlier. It had made him feel good, so he walked into the kitchen wearing nothing but his boxers. Gabriel was beating some eggs, and his eyes widened. There was no mistaking where Gabriel had looked, and Bobby couldn’t help but preen a little.

“Is the coffee still hot?” asked Bobby, aiming to act cool and not be too obvious about what he was doing.

“Yeah . . . it’s hot . . . I mean the coffee . . . the coffee is still hot.”

Bobby struggled to keep a straight face as he made his coffee. It was funny seeing Gabriel all flustered when he was usually so put-together and confident. It was only a bit of harmless flirting, but it would be more fun if Gabriel flirted back. Maybe he thought Bobby would be uncomfortable, but he wouldn’t have a problem with it.

Once he was caffeinated, he went to take a shower. He was tempted to go back into the kitchen in just a towel, but he got dressed instead. Some sweatpants and a T-shirt would do the job. He put on some underwear, given his propensity for random hard-ons recently. A bit of flirting was one thing, but he didn’t want to be giving Gabriel the wrong idea. His random boners were down to him not having sex for close to six months. Fuck! Had it really been that long?

Gabriel had set the table for them to eat, and he’d made scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, and protein bagels. There was fresh coffee as well. As always, everything was delicious, and they chatted about random crap, as they often did. They’d both discovered they had a shared love of Christmas films, so had been enjoying some of their joint favourites and introducing each other to new ones. They’d watched a film almost every night this week, which gave Bobby an idea.

“How about having a Santa Clause trilogy day? If we start early, we can get through the TV series as well.”

“If that’s what you want to do today, then that’s what we’ll do.”
