That single word snapped the last of my control. The arm wrapped around him hauled him upright, and my mouth latched onto the side of his throat, sucking hard, scraping my teeth against his delicate skin as I thrust frantically between his cheeks. His whimpers, his taste, the perfect friction—a symphony of sensation crashed over me in waves.

Release tore through me like lightning, my roar echoing off the walls as I erupted across his lower back. Hot cum splattered his skin, dripping down his thighs, binding us together as my mouth remained glued to his throat, teeth worrying the tender flesh.

Felix trembled beneath me, words dissolving into broken sounds I couldn’t parse. My wolf had seized control completely—nothing existed except the need to mark, to claim, to ensure anyone who came near would know exactly who he belonged to.

When I finally dragged my mouth away, the beautiful purple bruise blooming on his neck darkened deeper and deeper. A satisfied growl rumbled through my chest—the same one I’d been choking back for two bloody years finally set free. Felix shivered at the sound, pressing closer.

We collapsed to the floor, Felix melting against me as I gathered him close. I wrapped my cardigan around his shaking form, cocooning him between soft wool and my skin. His glasses lay abandoned on the carpet, forgotten.

Time blurred. His breathing slowly steadied against my chest, though aftershocks still rippled through him. I buried my face in his hair—his scent now thoroughly mixed with mine, marked and claimed.

“Are you okay?”

Felix made a soft, contented sound against my chest, his fingers clutching the hem of my cardigan. “I… I didn’t know it could be like that,” he murmured, voice croaky.

A laugh rumbled through me. “Just wait until I get you properly naked in a bed.” I glanced at the two cameras in opposite corners of his lair, their red lights gleaming judgingly down at us. “You can scrub that footage, right?”

“Yes. I’ll do it straight away.”

“Well…” I said. “If you want to send it to my phone, first, I wouldn’t say no…”

“Kit!” Felix swatted my chest, but he was laughing.

The sound of heavy footsteps on the other side of the basement made me gasp.

I caught the familiar thread of the bond I shared with Rory.

“Fuck, it’s Rory,” I hissed. “Back from Hackney already.”

The footsteps paused directly outside Felix’s door.

“Kit? Felix?” Rory’s voice carried clearly through the thin walls.

My mind raced. We were both half naked, covered in sweat and other things, and the air in here reeked of sex. If he so much as cracked open that door…

“Just reviewing something with Felix,” I called out, hoping my voice sounded steadier than I felt. Then, before Rory could respond with what I knew would be a barrage of questions, I added quickly, “You can finish all that food on the table.”

The immediate sound of Rory’s feet scampering away—literally scampering, like an excited puppy—would have made me laugh under any other circumstances.

Felix groaned softly and started to push himself up. “We should—”

“Wait,” I whispered, so quietly the word barely had sound. “One more kiss.”

His eyes widened, but he leaned up without hesitation. Our lips met in the softest, quietest, most careful kiss imaginable—barely a whisper of contact, silent and sweet and perfect.

Felix smiled against my mouth, and something inside me imploded supernova with happiness.

Felix

The intercom in my lair crackled to life.

“Felix to my office, immediately.”
