She chuckles, wiping away the drool with the back of her hand. “I’m far from perfect.”

Veronica stands on wobbly legs, and it is taking everything in me not to lay her on my desk to taste the arousal that coats her. My fingers flex as she picks up her discarded clothes and puts them back on. I stand there, almost in awe at the sight of her. I’m still naked by the time she is fully dressed.

I hadn’t realized she had picked up my clothes until she is offering them to me. My eyes find the clothes lying in her hand, and I take them from her, then take a step closer, not bothering to put them on. Starring into her eyes, demanding that focus from her, she licks her lips nervously.

“Despite what you’ve done in your past and what you believe about yourself, there is a part of you that is perfection, Veronica.” She blinks at my statement. One of disbelief and wonder. As if I am the first person to see past this shield that she always has up.

“You’re just saying that as my doctor,” she says quietly.

I shake my head, my hand cupping her face. “No, I’m not. I’m saying this as a man standing before a devastatingly beautiful woman.”

“Maybe to you,” her head dips down, eyes casting towards the floor, “not to others.”

“You don’t let them see you like this.”

“What?” Her eyes snap up. “On my knees with my mouth full?”

“No.” I laugh. “Vulnerable.”

“I can’t…” Her voice is above a whisper.

“You can,” I tell her. “You’re just afraid of what the outcome will be.” She takes a step back, and my hand falls from her face to the clothes in my hand. Now, I decide to get dressed because having this raw conversation doesn’t seem so endearing when I’m standing here naked. “You have people in here who want that from you. Edith, Dr. Bennett, and even Eliza.”

“Being vulnerable with them isn’t an option, Leo.” She shakes her head. “It only is with you because you’re my doctor.”

My head moves in disagreement. “That’s not the only reason.”

Her stare bore into mine, and the rolling of her jaw tells me she’s trying not to be too vulnerable in this moment. “Since when did this become a real session?”

“It was supposed to be a real session today.” I remind her. “But then I saw that jealous gleam in your eyes, so I had to change it.”

Her hands fly up in the air. “I was not jealous!”

“Don’t admit it then. Just know it’s okay that you were. If roles were reversed and I saw you talking to another man, I’d feel the same way.”

She narrows her eyes. “Good thing the only men in here are gross.”

As I button up my dress shirt, I take a step closer to her. “Are you telling me you’d try to make me jealous?”

“Maybe.” She shrugs.

Red lines my vision for a moment at the thought of another man here hitting on her. Trying to have her the way I just did, but then soon fades from her earlier words.

All the men who do work here are gross. She wouldn’t dare try anything with them. The thought of the other men brings up the fact that Myles will be here this weekend.

“My friend is coming this weekend.” I blurt out, unsure if I would tell her.

“Oh, yeah?” She tilts her head.

“Dr. Bennett needs him to look at some business issues.” I state, not missing the sparkle in her eyes. “Don’t even think about it.”

“Think about what?” She questions with a playful tone.

“Stay away from him, Veronica. I mean it.” The warning doesn’t seem to hit her how I want it to.

“We’ll see.” She smirks. “This has been fun and all, but if we are done with putting our mouths to use for pleasure, I’d like to go. I'm not feeling up to the whole talking about my issues thing, seeing as you just tired me out. Maybe tomorrow.”

“And what are you going to do with the free time you have?”
